This was a great stay. It was so conveniently located and very safe! The place was very clean, spacious and beautifully decorated! We felt right at home and would love to stay here again!

Outstanding space! Very private! Quiet! Located close to Duke University and Duke hospitals! I have stayed here several times in the past and enjoy staying here every single time! Scott is an excellent owner very attentive! I would highly recommend this property if you’re in the Durham area!

We all enjoyed our stay very much. It’s a lovely historic building, beautifully decorated, well-stocked, and close to downtown. We enjoyed walking around the small park next to the house. I love the high ceilings, and even though the weather was beautiful, we appreciated that the air conditioning and fans were ready if we needed them. It was also really pleasant to sit on the front porch in the evening. A lovely home, great information and recommendations from the hosts, and we would be delighted to visit again.

I highly recommend Lucy's property if you are in town for a DPAC or Bulls Stadium event. Both are short walks away from her location. There are also plenty of bars, restaurants, and things to do nearby. She also has a zero gravity massage chair that is great! Do not waste money on a hotel...stay here!

Midge was super communicative and checked in just enough leading up to our arrival and was readily available once we got there. Beautiful neighborhood, very private, clean and just as described. Only a 10 minute drive to downtown. Highly recommend!

This was a perfect home-base for me on a recent work/play visit to Durham—quiet and safe neighborhood; tidy, well-appointed kitchen; minimalist but sufficient space in which to read, relax, etc., and short walks to downtown & Duke’s East Campus.

Great location - way nicer than the average downtown hotel. AirBnB had a very well equipped kitchen compared with usual. Comfy furnishings. Historic Building has great vibe. Spacious. Great host.

I was in town for a quick work trip with some fun splashed in. This was a great location and close to a lot of fun different areas. We went to North Hills for dinner and a book signing, then the next day to Village District. It was a cute townhouse and very relaxing. It was just two of us, so it was plenty big. The downstairs stayed cool and the upstairs did get warm, but they had fans and it was fine. Joshua was a thorough communicator with clear instructions. It was a safe, quiet, and cozy neighborhood good for heading home after a long day of shopping. Perfect for reading, hanging for girls night, or binging a few shows. Beds were comfy. House was clean. It was a great stay! Thanks!

This place was beautiful, had everything we needed. The host was responsive and caring for anything we needed. Hot tub was great we loved it! We would and will definitely use this place as our getaway again!!!

Best AirBnB so far. We have stayed in many places around the country and THIS HOME has been the best by far. Spotless, organized, welcoming, comfortable and perfectly located. Eric is a phenomenal host, anticipated our needs before we even asked, and was flexible to suit our travel plans. Quick to respond to any request. Everything you need is there. We plan to stay here again, even forwarded the listing to very “fussy” brother who will be visiting from Denmark. Wonderful experience, highly recommend!

The space is peaceful and charming and a short walk to everything you would want to find in downtown Durham. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

The house and Cam were amazing! We were staying at a different Airbnb when the A/C went out. Cam responded to my message around 9:30 PM and had us settled into this beautiful home by 10! The house is just as impressive—absolutely gorgeous.

This was my second stay at The Peaceful Getaway. The home was immaculate and very comfortable. The weather was perfect for relaxing outside on the screened-in porch and back deck. The wooded, serene property was convenient to every place we wanted to visit, but tucked away in a very quiet neighborhood. Karen was a friendly and welcoming host. We will definitely return if we find ourselves in the area again.

The host was incredibly kind and welcoming. The accommodation was peaceful, nestled in beautiful natural surroundings. There were plenty of attractions and delicious restaurants nearby, making it very convenient. My kids loved playing in the front garden and were thrilled to see deer and squirrels. Highly recommend!

Had a nice stay! Easy check in and designated parking space was nice too. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Lots of food options nearby and a quiet neighborhood. Would stay again if I’m ever back in the area.

The home was beautiful and had a lot of space. It was just two of us, but we could have easily split it with at least two more people. We especially loved the lake view patio. We enjoyed our morning coffee out there every morning as well as a few night caps. It was so peaceful. Jim was very easy and quick to communicate with. We would definitely stay there again.

We had originally booked another location, but this was more convenient and a lot less. It was very nice and well worth the money. Elliott was very proactive in terms of instructions, but everything went so smoothly we really didn't need to contact him. We would stay here again.
