What you'll do
We will walk around quiet backstreets from Westminster to Vauxhall. Over two hours we will visit a Georgian cathedral town and pleasure garden, a Victorian penal port and graveyard, a Bronze Age port and religious site, and a 21st-century city that is still under construction. You will be immersed in different historical periods and will hear about lots of gossip and scandal. This walk actively encourages your participation. This walk can best be regarded as an open-air seminar where I facilitate a greater understanding of how class and money operate in English culture.
I am a Londoner who teaches history up to university level and is also a qualified City of Westminster tour guide. I also run two other experiences, Discover Hidden Sites with an Historian. I am passionate about my neighborhood and English culture because what previous generations leave behind shapes our lives now.
