What you'll do

We'll start our ride a block below La Plaza del Chorro Plaza in Bogota's historical center.

Our first stop will be Plaza del Periodista, then we'll continue to La Iglesia San Francisco.
Next, we'll pass some of Bogota's most iconic buildings, including its tallest building, the Santamaria bullfighting plaza, the National Museum, which was originally a prison, and the National Park, where we can try a traditional fruit juice or a salad.

Next, we'll visit the historic Teusaquillo neighborhood with its elegant British-style houses and see some of Bogota's largest street murals. We'll stop in a traditional coffee roaster, where we can sip some of Colombia's most famous legal export and then see more street art, before visiting a traditional market, where we'll taste exotic fruits. Finally, we'll finish off the tour with a game of tejo, Colombia's explosive national sport, before returning to the historical center.

Hi, my name is Daniel, a professional tour guide. I studied tourism for four years and now have nationwide tourism experience. Through my experience, I've reached the conclusion that many Colombian tour agencies give only classic tours, rather than taking that next step.

I have had the opportunity to meet all kinds of tourists and they have congratulated me on my excellent explanation of Colombian history and, naturally, my high level of customer service, based on respect.

I love coffee, emeralds, Colombian fruits and beer. But, above all, I love Colombia's national sport, tejo!

Our guide for the tour was Mike and showed us a lot of the Colombian culture, Bogotá's history and delightful fruits at the market. Definitely recommend to go with them. Only thing is I would have liked to have had more time to play tejo.

Your tour guide will depend on the day. On this day, Nico was fantastic. Sharing his multiple passions. From graffiti, cycling in Bogota, to Colombia's political situation, Nico provided it all. Well worth it.

Loved this experience. Mateo was my guide and was very knowledgeable and fun to tour with. Great way to see the city. Bike ride isn’t too strenuous, probably doable for anyone who can ride a bike. Lasted about 4.5 hours total. Also I missed my original tour and Daniel was super accommodating and helped me reschedule.

All the personnel in Bogata Bike Rides were amazing and very personable. Our Uber to the meet up spot was running late and we texted Daniel, one of the co-owners to let him now and he was extremely accommodating. He let us know that it was okay and there would we someone waiting for us when we got there. We ended up being 30 min late and Mike, the other co- owner, took us out in our very own personal full bike tour. Mike is a journalist and he was very knowledgeable of the city. After our bike tour Mike and the rest of the team even gave us recommendations of where to eat and let us know that a colombian marching band would be coming down the street later that evening and not to miss it. And we did not, the band was amazing! And a great free find. I couldn't recommend this tour and team any higher. They are amazing!

I Highly recommend doing a bike tour with Bogota Bike Tours. I absolutely loved it and would recommened it to friends.. in fact, I already have 😁. Mike, our tour guide, who is also the owner showed us around the city. First, there's no way you can cover that much ground on foot in such little time and still get good insight. You also really need a guide to explore some of these neighborhoods, since some are hidden gems, and others better left avoided without a guide. Mike shared his personal experiences, shared deep knowledge, and introduced us to locals. We went to several different neighborhoods, ate amazing street food, sampled exotic local fruit you (maracuya, guanabana, lulo, cucumber melon, tomate mora, and so many more), drank amazing coffee and coca tea and got to play tejo! (So much fun!). We were warmly welcomed by locals, especially because Mike clearly had built a friendship with many of three other locals. It was a very unique experience which made it very special. Mike and the Bogota Bike Tour staff were extremely accommodating. We even got recommendations on good local places to eat and got to see the marching band play as per their recommendation. Hands down, I would do this tour again.
