Hi! I'm Katya and I love the question "Why?"
I was always curious about art. I wanted to know not only How, When and by Whom things were made, but Why the idea came to the artist's mind first place. This "Why" question took me to the course of Art history in Moscow. But the answers brought more questions - how to make this "secret knowledge" accessible for everyone? That's how I came to Bologna to get a master's degree in innovation for culture and the arts in the oldest university in Europe. To share my passion with people who ask the same "Why?" question, in 2017 I've found Arte Vino - artistic workshops for curious people without artistic background.
Now I'd love to share with you the stories about the city that became my home. Let's discover the secrets of Bologna and find the answers to all the "Why" questions together!

I had a private tour with Katya as I happened to be the only one taking part. Katya's English is excellent and so is her knowledge of Bologna and its history. She told me interesting stories about the places we saw. Couldn't have hoped for a better guide. Thank you!

It ended up being just the two of us so was pretty laid back. We walked around different areas of importance while she explained the history and some stories less known behind them. Her passion for the city made it much more enjoyable than one of the standard tours and since it is normally limited to a small group it just gives you more flexibility. As any tourist would, I was looking to take pictures wherever I could and she made sure I didn't miss any and we just stopped till we got them all. P.s. Try to do this earlier on on the trip unlike me because she gives you a lot of great recommendations for food and sights but I didn't have the time to do them all. Big mistake.

Our private tour with Katya was amazing! She is so knowledgeable and provides a lot of cool information you wouldn’t otherwise learn about on your own. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience because we learned a lot of the city’s history, fun facts, and got AMAZING restaurant, bar, & gelato recommendations! I would definitely recommend this experience to those looking to explore the city in an exclusive & intimate way.

This tour was great! Katya was very knowledgeable and friendly. She shared her knowledge of the history of the city as well as her own personal experience living in Bologna and her perspective on the Italian culture. She also made great lunch and dinner reservations and continued to share ideas of things we could do even after we had said goodbye. Highly recommend if you are looking to get off the beaten track of Bologna.
