What you'll do

Having observed all the hygiene safety measures such as washing hand, i will have disinfected all our musical instruments, we will right away jump into our drumming class by giving you a brief introduction to djembe [The African hand drum ] including dos and donts activity. you will all have your instrument therefore there wont be sharing of instruments and one by one I will teach you about four main parts of the djembe that makes it easier for you to play along, these include the Tone, Roll, slap and the Base. we will then go to simple beats that involves the mention parts as we try to bring in the African traditional folk songs some of which are well known. we will then go deeper into Afro beats, then jazz, salsa, reggae, African house music to Arabic in order to promote the diversity, then we will have a snacks break and sharing or even answering any questions. This activity will take place in a very beautiful neighborhood so we can peep around and feel the serenity of the environment. We will then resume to our last part of jamming since now you can play as we merge different instruments including the guitar and the Indian flute as well well eggs and calabash shakers. We will then wind up the activity with self love affirmation and more snacks and this point guest is allowed to leave. I will make sure you have Wifi to order your online taxi.

Where you'll be

We will conduct our workshop inside my cozy humble home in a school compound where I happen to teach music. Its a very green quiet and breezy neighborhood. You will have access to the washroom and plenty of water to wash up. You will as well have an opportunity to see some of my arts in the house and I will be glad to share my ideas with you.
