What you'll do

Can you imagine that all the amazing skyscrapers in Pudong Lujiazui CBD were built within 30 years from NOTHING? Are you confused of the names and functions of those giants?
During this walk, I will explain to you the legendary moments of Lujiazui and its role to modern Shanghai. We will also explore the most remarkable skyscrapers in Lujiazui area and discuss the design philosophy behind the buildings.
Of course, won't forget to capture a #lookup view of the giants in a splendid night scene.

Where you'll be

To avoid the crowds, we'll start in a roof garden in Lujiazui. You'll get a brief idea of modern Shanghai history and a unique view of Shanghai's most remarkable landmarks such as Oriental Pearl Tower and etc.
Later, we will enter a park where you'll find yourself surrounded by the giant buildings in a peaceful environment.
Finally, we'll explore Shanghai Tower (TALLEST), SWFC building & Jinmao Tower in a close look and see a photo exhibition.

Jun feels like an old friend who's showing you around her favourite parts in town. She was extremely accommodating and answered all my questions, and came well-prepared! I liked learning more about the main skyscrapers of the area - all in all a very good tour and the area at night looks simply magical (especially because there was a lightshow related to the Import Expo).

We took this tour the day after going for a walk along the Bund and being crushed by the swarm of tourists. This tour is the complete opposite of that experience. Jun was so friendly, warm and expert in her topic. We met in Pudong and she took us on a wonderful walk explaining how the area had grown from the 90s, giving the back story of major skyscrapers and showing us hidden, beautiful vantage points from which we could see the Bund, the three major towers and the rest of the city. Watching the sunset and the city light up was a special experience! A few quick logistics, meeting up with Jun was easy. Her directions are simple and she was quick to respond to messages. We wore comfy shoes and found the walking easy - at the end she pointed us in the direction of some tasty restaurants. Next time we’re in Shanghai we’ll definitely take her Art Deco tour!

I love to walk and hear stories about cities around the world and their transformations. The Pudong area is full of some of the world’s tallest skyscrapers, and the tour was a terrific introduction to Shanghai of the 21st century. Jun knows the good spots to look up into the sky and take photos. On the foggy evening we were out huge swathes of clouds shrouded the city, and modern Shanghai looked like a beautiful sci-fi movie, plus Jun is really nice and easy to be around. It felt like taking an evening stroll with a friend who knows her city. Highly recommended.

It was a great experience to get to know Pudong at night. Jun knows all the hidden spots and tells you everything you need to know about that area. I would definitely do it again.
