What you'll do

This will be an exclusive, only for your group, experience where you will visit a real coffee farm located in a very beautiful and special place. We will receive you in our garden where we will welcome you with our own coffee, introduce you to our farm and get ready for our walk. The route begins with a walk downhill along the coffee fields while we explain all the process in coffee cultivation, from planting to harvest. We will stop at some lookout points where a beautiful view of the Roble River canyon can be seen. After a short walk downhill we will visit the "Cascada", a magical, more than 30 metres high waterfall in the middle of a guadua (native bamboo) forest. If you don't mind the cold water you can take a refreshing and energizing bath here. Then, after a little hike through the guadua forest we will reach the Roble River. If the weather conditions are good, we will spend some time here enjoying the cool waters of this nice river, before we start our way back up hill to our starting point where we will show you the coffee's post-harvest process until it reaches your cup. Finally you can relax and enjoy more of our own coffee, local fruits, and some other local refreshments watching the beautiful view.

Alejandro & Carolina

Carolina and Alejandro are a long married couple. Carolina is a preschool and yoga teacher, and Alejandro is an anthropologist who has worked with indigenous communities and alternative development programs in several regions of Colombia. We've been living in our family's coffee farm in Quindío since 2013, where we grow coffee and plantains, and follow a sustainable type of agriculture, with great respect to nature, and trying to preserve native ecosystems, plants, trees, animals and sceneries. We live and work on the farm permanently and like sharing with others our natural and simple style of life.

Where you'll be

You will be visiting Finca Santa Inés, a typical, medium size coffee farm located in the heart of the Colombian coffee region. Besides visiting the coffee fields and infrastructure, we will enjoy two of the most special and magical natural places in our farm: the Cascada, a more than 30 mts. high waterfall in the middle of a guadua (native bamboo) forest, and the Roble River, a clear and cool rocky river that limits one part of our farm.
