What you'll do

We're about to embark on one of the most important journeys of your life. A voyage to eat 4 of the top pizza slices in the lower east side of New York City, one of NYC's most popular and historic neighborhoods (and the home of yours truly!)

We'll meet at the corner of Rivington St and Orchard St (84 Rivington St, New York, NY 10002) outside of Sauce Pizzeria LES - underneath the rather large "PIZZA" signs.

This is a walking tour, so be prepared to walk approximately 1.5 miles. During the tour each guest will get to try a slice of pizza at each stop, including some of NYC's pizza hidden gems. Along the tour you will learn more about the area and I will point out some of best restaurants, bars, stores, and other attractions such as Essex Market, The Tenement Museum, Economy Candy, and Katz's Delicatessen.

Additional tour dates and times available by request!

The tour is just 1.3 miles from the Brooklyn Bridge and an easy subway ride or Uber/Lyft/Taxi from other popular destinations such as the Empire State Building, World Trade Center, and Hudson Yards. The nearest subway stops are Delancey St./Essex St. Station (F,M,J), 2nd Avenue (F), Grand St. (B,D), and Bowery (J,Z). The lower east side neighborhood is also accessible via the Williamsburg Bridge.

If I could eat only one type of food for the rest of my life, it would be pizza. From the microwaved variety to Sicily to all around New York City, I've tried it all. I've eaten nearly 10,000 slices of pizza in my life and been to pizzerias all across the 5 boroughs of NYC. More importantly, there is nothing I love more than sharing experiences with friends and family. I'm excited to bring my guests (new friends) to my favorite pizza places in the lower east side neighborhood of Manhattan.

As a pizza expert from the 'burbs of Wisconsin, I was expecting stops at Dominoes, Pizza Hut, and if lucky, Sbarro. But, we ended up going to local places and it was awesome!!! Great conversation, great stories, great tips, and most importantly, great pizza! I would highly recommend this tour; would be great with a big group of friends too. And Bob's passion really shiner through which made it all the more enjoyable.

Right out the box you knew this was going to be a sizzler. His pizza knowledge was particularly gouda, and Bob himself was superb - top notch delivery of all the pizza facts with a special mention of his catchy theme tune. You'll definitely want a slice of this action.

Bob really puts the "Bob" into Bob's Pizza Tour. He's someone who shares his legitimate passion for pizza, and delivers a really cool tour on the Lower East Side. Bob took us to an up and coming restaurant that didn't show up on any other "best of NYC" pizza list before visiting the city. It was fantastic. It was also great to see Bob interact with the local pizza shop owners as a member of the neighborhood. Great food, great tour, would recommend!
