What you'll do

On this tour we will visit the Czech part of this national park and we will see its two main highlights - Pravčická brána (Pravčice Gate) and Edmundova soutěska (Edmunds Gorge).

We leave Prague early in the morning and we drive to Hřensko village. We will hike to Pravčice Gate first to admire the largest sandstone arch in Europe that is there. Views from the top are just breathtaking. The hike is not difficult and everyone should be able to do it. The distance from the parking place to the top is 3 km.

Then we will have a lunch in a local family restaurant to gain some energy. Vegetarian or vegan options are available but limited.

For fit and adventurous travellers there is an extra additional option to visit a bandits castle Šaunštejn just 1 km from the restaurant. You should not be afraid of heights for this experience.

After lunch I will take you to Edmunds Gorge for a short boat trip (20 minutes) and a nice walk through this gorge.

After this spectacular experience we will hit the highway back to Prague where you will be deliverd back to your accomodation.

Really great trip! We had fun even when it rained a bit and were even more proud when we conquered the small sand castle during rain. Can really recommend the experience to everyone who wants to get out of the city for a bit.

I highly recommend this tour. Filip our guide was incredible. He was very friendly, had a great sense of humor, professional, and cared a lot about the nature. We felt being welcomed in the whole tour. We went to Pravčická Archway and Tisa Rocks. We went on a foggy day with low visibility. The time was off-season, so we actually consider ourselves lucky we still managed to had a glimpse of the magnificence of the Archway through the fog. Tisa Rocks was less affected by the fogs. It was at freezing temperature, there were ice chips and icicles everywhere, plus it had just rained a bit, so some floors are slippery. Filip tried out safe steps to made sure the route was safe for everyone. The labyrinth of sandstone rocks was stunning. The walks in both sites were totally worthwhile. Filip created a fun trip for us. He could talk about just any topic (great selections of historical dramas and movies by the way). And he was very considerate to pick us up from the start and drop us off at the end. Thanks Filip for bringing us the great experience.
