In this journey, you will delve into the traditions and lifestyles of the people of Ladakh. At an institute for Tibetan art and culture, you will learn the process of making a sacred scroll painting. Over an entire day at the Hemis monastery, you will draw from the lifestyle of a Tibetan monk. Driving past the breathtaking, lofty landscapes, you will spend time with the locals of a remote hamlet, learning about their metalwork tradition. After a light hike, you will reach the Mongu village, where you will pick up the local culinary techniques. Before embarking on your return journey, you will spend time at a nunnery, interacting with the nuns who manage an old, isolated monastery of Ladakh.
