The hosts are a very welcoming and lovely family. The food they cook is very delicious and they were very helpful with organizing the ferries. Additionally their hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature and the river is very scenic.
A landscaped pathway meanders through lush greenery, framed by palm trees and vibrant tropical plants. The calm water of the nearby bay reflects the clear sky. This serene setting offers direct access to the waterfront.

“Cabaña Colibrí” Rio Dulce, Bahia la Bacadilla

LauraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We were looking for somewhere to spend several relaxing days with things to do for my children (11 and 15 years old). This place was excellent. Since we arrived, Don Mario was very helpful in receiving us at the marina where we left the car parked, it is a short 10-minute trip to the house. The house with its two air-conditioned rooms, living room, kitchen and a terrace where we spent most of the time. The wind makes it super nice to be outside. We jumped into the river a thousand times, used the pedal boat and went to explore the surrounding area. On the last day, no one really wanted to go back. Maria was in constant communication with me and always attentive to any eventuality. We had the support of Elvia in the house, Don Mario's daughter, during the week (paid separately and directly to her) and it was key for us to be calmer, she is a very polite and helpful girl. It's definitely a place we hope to return to soon...

If you are going to El Estor or anywhere on Lake Izabel you should stay here. It's a great place with very friendly people. The water is right in front of the hotel and there is a pool. It is an easy walk to get to the center of town with all the restaurants and street food. It really is beautiful here. Marvin was awesome and very kind.

Hotel Kangaroo Rio Dulce, Bungalow 9

They picked us up from the municipal dock and took us to the hotel free of charge. They showed us around and to our cabin. The restaurant area has lots of of tables and chairs, a couple couches, some games to play, and plenty of food and drink options for a good price. There are lots of good areas to hang out around the property. It's a great place to be in nature. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Overall a pleasant stay.
The bathroom features a floral shower curtain with bold colors, complemented by neatly hung white towels. A wooden cabinet holds the sink and provides storage. A mirror above the sink reflects the space, enhancing its utility.

|| Casa La Paz || Construction on the water

Nice place, very spacious, clean, with a spectacular lake view. In the kitchen, everything you need, well equipped. An inconvenience, in two rooms they do not cool the air conditioners and it would be good to place in the non-slip strip. I recommend the place, we would come back again.
