Lake house vacation rentals in Echo Lake

Extremely peaceful and relaxing! The rental is more like a home than a cottage/camp with its recent tasteful, pleasing, and very functional renovations (the flooring was well done and looked great; the mini-split system made it very comfortable even when it was in the 90’s; and, the new furnishings were attractive and comfortable). We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 15th wedding anniversary trip to Fish Tales on Moose Pond. It was a bonus that kayaks were there to use. (Saved us from bringing our own for such a far trip) We were looking for peace and quiet from our busy lives and it was wonderful. So quiet! The cabin was clean, comfortable and fit our needs perfectly. The view was magical, as was the sound of the loons in the evening. Sitting around a campfire is good for the soul. We will definitely consider returning for another trip.

Beautiful and comfortable house in a lovely natural setting, five minutes from Pleasant Mountain, which we think is a wonderful family ski area. Marty was very kind and extremely helpful with all our questions and requests. We would love to return and experience other seasons here as well.

We had an amazing time. TJ was very responsive and gave his secrets for fishing! He also accommodated a request that was an overlook on my part. I can’t say enough good things about the place itself or how nice TJ was. It was a phenomenal experience all around!

My wife and I completely enjoyed our stay at Ani’s place. She literally thought of everything any guest could ever want. Beautiful surroundings…walking distance to the Fish Ladder….a couple of miles to all the restaurants downtown. And the place itself is immaculate. The kitchen was perfect for eating in every night. This place is an absolute no-brainer to rent and we can’t wait to return!!!

Enjoyed our stay. The screened in porch was our saving grace due to rainy weather. Very relaxing trip!

This lake camp is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. It was so nice to get up every morning and be greeted with beautiful close up lake views when you walk down the hallway towards the lake! Great location, close to Augusta, Readfield, Winthrop and plenty of restaurants, shopping, etc. William was responsive whenever I had a question. Great place, great location! Such a peaceful spot!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this Airbnb is. Stasia has created such a peaceful oasis and her home has everything you could possibly need. Her instructions are incredibly clear and there was never a moment of confusion. The view is stunning, the home is comfortable and it was a great place to spend quality time with family. I would book again in a heartbeat!

The location is gorgeous and peaceful, so close to the water so that we could enjoy it right out the window, or down at the dock. The weather was too rainy for paddling but we heard the loons. The space is comfortable and Mark had so many nice touches that made us feel welcome. We hope to be back!

We recently moved from Alaska to Maine and needed a place to stay while looking for a house. We stayed at David’s for 2 months and it felt like being in our own home. The view on the lake was beautiful and everything was provided upon arrival. David periodically checked with us to make sure everything Wes going well and was very responsive if we had a question. We would definitely stay at David’s place again!!! I highly recommend David’s place if visiting central Maine.

Great location and price for our group. Beds were comfortable and house was very clean. We will be staying here next year!

The spot was perfect for a weekend of skiing and riding snowmobiles. Exactly what we were looking for in a vacation home. Paul was great at recommending places and his response time was great. Also the wood burning stove made the weekend cozy and perfect.

Our family had a wonderful time staying at Heather’s home. The location was wonderful - literally the lake at your doorstep - and sitting at the breakfast table watching the loons diving was amazing. This was one of the best equipped rentals we’ve stayed at - we had everything we could possibly have needed. Beds are comfortable and there is plenty of room for everyone in a larger group to have space. Restaurants/shopping in Augusta/Hallowell are an easy drive and a grocery store is about 5 minutes away. Unfortunately the weather during our stay was not ideal (cold/rainy) so we could not enjoy the outdoor space as we might have otherwise. But other than that, our trip was pretty much perfect!

We stayed at Ashley’s place for a wonderful long weekend to celebrate my husband’s birthday with a few friends; staying at this house really feels like staying in a friend’s house - it’s stocked with everything you need, and the hosts encourage you to truly experience the lake lifestyle! The rooms are cozy, kitchen is well-stocked, and the outdoor space is exceptional. Nearby towns in the Lewiston/Auburn area have good food and drink options.

Great cabin! Remote and beautiful. Hot tub was lovely. James was communicative and his folks took care of snow plowing right away after a storm. Would definitely stay again.

Another AMAZING stay! This was our third time staying at Jeremiah’s place and it never disappoints! The beautiful view of the lake and surroundings to enjoy our morning coffee is such a great way to start our day! We got to enjoy the canoe this time and paddled all around the lake, it’s absolutely beautiful and relaxing! Whenever we come to this part of Maine, we will always stay here!

The house was great and matched what the description was. Very spacious and everything needed. Matthew was also very responsive when I had questions. Would stay there again for sure!

Corie was so responsive with answers to questions about wifi and check-in to fun day trips we should try while we are there. The view of the lake is the best and the swimming was wonderful. Plus loved the paddle boat. Very relaxing!!

This was a really nice house on a beautiful lake. The beds were comfortable and there were enough to accommodate us. It was very clean and easy to enjoy your stay. We really enjoyed our stay.

The location of this property is unbeatable. Close enough to town, but lakeside down a quiet wooded road. Kids were thoroughly entertained with the outdoors, and my son caught his first fish off the dock to round out a memorable weekend.

Had no idea how beautiful Maine was 350 miles and 10 hrs later I was blown away on how nice this place was kept and the view of the lake was breath taking Cannot wait to come back

Very cute, spacious house. Was fully equipped with everything you could need but not overdone and cluttered. In a very peaceful neighborhood that was perfect for walking the dogs in the morning alongside the lake.
