Tip of Borneo Wetland Executive Suite

YuhuiRating, 5 stars11 months ago
I drove from KK to Kudat, Ekoo’s place is like a private garden with tropical plants, it’s located just a few steps from the beach. We came and found surfing is the best activity here, for the natural waves conditions. The room is air-conditioned and clean, with dry-wet-separate shower! The floor is a little bit lean, but acceptable. Kind reminders - Do take insect repellent! It’s a must! - The road from KK to here is pretty bumpy for non-local people, a trunk or an experienced driver is preferred for the road condition.
A long wooden pier extends into calm, clear waters, reflecting a bright sky with scattered clouds. The shoreline is lined with lush greenery, and a few structures are visible at the pier's end, providing an inviting view of the surrounding landscape.

Beach Villa @ Pom Pom Island Resort

2019-2020 Booked a water house and a beach house on New Year's Eve, everything is very, very perfect except for the beach house door lock, everything else is very, very perfect!!!Water house facilities are newer than beach house. There are not many people in the resort, the beach is very clear and beautiful, the food is not as scary as it says online, we think it's very delicious. The three of us also took snorkeling activities in Madaking and Tingbatin, and there were no other guests, and the three of us had a special time. When we snorkeled in Madakin, the instructor Song used the lifebuestation ring to the mother who couldn't swim, and took the three of us to watch a lot of turtles, and there was a big turtle floating on the water, close to the sea turtles!Other underwater fish and corals are also beautiful. There is almost no one on Timba Island and the beach is beautiful. There are also music accompaniment for New Year's Eve.Great experience.
A serene beachfront extends alongside calm, turquoise waters under a clear blue sky. Fluffy white clouds are visible in the distance over a lush green landscape, while gentle waves lap against the pristine white sand, bordered by tall trees providing dappled shade.

Private Chalet Maglami Waterhouse3 (2 Person stay)

LukasRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Really a wonderful place. We stayed in the VIP2 Lodge, which was just as expensive as the others. Of course, it's a little expensive, but we had a total "Maldives" feeling and it's exactly as shown in the pictures. There are opportunities for snorkeling all around. Baby sharks, water snakes and giant turtles swim around the property. The tours offered are phenomenal and all the staff are very friendly and accommodating. If you need something from the city (e.g. sunscreen), this is also organized. It should also be said that this place is completely safe. No pirates, kidnapping or anything. That's no longer relevant at all.

Tip of borneo view Ohigak beach house

JulianRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Loved my stay here! Set your expectations before coming here. Reaching this beach isn’t the easiest—roads in Sabah can be rough, with gravel surfaces or stretches under maintenance. Take your time and enjoy the journey. The area is surrounded by nature, so be prepared for the natural elements—expect bugs, sandflies and other insects. Insect repellent is highly recommended. You may encounter a few imperfections during your stay, but the host was very responsive and proactive in resolving issues. That said, once you open your window and take in the view of the serene, crowd-free beach, those minor inconveniences quickly fade away. I hope you’re luckier than I was and catch a sunset without clouds or a clear night sky full of stars. If possible, bring a rubbish bag to help clean the beach. I suggest heading into Kudat town (about 30 minutes away) for dinner—better value there. Just be aware that the roads are very dark at night, so it’s worth renting a car with LED or xenon lights.

Tamparuli +JuJu Cabin with mountain view

HeidiRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Me and my fiancé had a lovely 1 night stay at the JuJu cabin and wished it had been longer! The house is really lovely, located on the top of the hill. It has everything one could wish for for a comfortable stay and, most importantly, it's surrounded by beautiful nature. We really loved the outdoor kitchen and the surroundings and felt very inspired about how Daniel & his wife had built up this house and made it so wonderful. Daniel and his wife were very responsive at all times and we also enjoyed getting to know some of their friendly dogs! This place is highly recommended!
The cabin's sleeping area is furnished with two queen-sized beds, each dressed in crisp white linens. Neatly rolled towels are placed on top, while decorative artwork adorns the wall, providing a touch of character to the cozy space.

We had a lovely stay here! Sue and her staff were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. The area is peaceful and not too crowded, which was just what I was looking for. We loved waking up to the beautiful mountain view right in front of our cabin. While food isn’t provided, there’s a nice restaurant just across the road—less than a 5-minute walk away. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quiet and scenic place to unwind!

Kabana Kampung - boutique outdoor living ...

NizarRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I had a wonderful stay at Chris’ place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a thoughtfully designed and peaceful retreat. From the start, Chris was kind, responsive, and flexible. He reached out days in advance to make sure I was prepared and knew what to expect — a gesture I truly appreciated. The space itself was exactly what I was looking for: clean, well-kept, and intentionally designed to promote calm and reflection. Though I didn’t get to try the field trip recommendations this time, they’ll definitely be on my list if I return for a longer stay. One of the highlights was getting to chat with Chris — we had a few meaningful conversations about life, personal journeys, and his latest creative project. Wishing him all the best in what’s ahead! As the space is nestled in nature, do come prepared with mosquito repellent — the incense may not always do the trick. But beyond that, everything was great. A memorable stay with a great host!
