Rustic, and undergoing minor renovations, but a very cozy, clean place to stay. The Lake is clean and great for swimming! No cleaning fee!! The location says Tusket, it is actually Quinan on Lake Kegeshook. The cottage is a farmhouse/mid modern style with all white walls. Large windows and high ceilings allowing for great light. We recently renovated our kitchen. The cottage is remote, quiet and perfect for relaxing. The place is heated by a heat pump with additional base board heaters when needed. The cottage is a 20 mins drive in from the Tusket exit and 35 minutes to Yarmouth.

Jackie’s place is amazing!!!!! You will not be disappointed. The home has absolutely everything you need, along with an amazing view. We spent 5 wonderful nights and enjoyed it every minute. We highly recommend Outlook Lodge.

Gorgeous property. Better than photos convey. Decor is very tasteful, bathroom large and beautiful shower. Everything was done thoughtfully and professionally. Hosts were very responsive and clear. We got some snow during our stay and they were on top of having everything shoveled. Stayed for Christmas while visiting family and couldn’t get over how cozy the place was. I felt like I was staying in the Nova Scotian version of Kate Winslet’s cottage from “the holiday”. Would be gorgeous in the summer too.

We had a wonderful, restful stay at Coastal Dream. The view is spectacular (sunsets are amazing) and the property is very private but not isolated or remote. Easy to get to. The cottage was quite comfortable; wifi and TV worked fine. Spiral staircase is a bit of a challenge but the loft is a nice space. Melissa was very helpful and responsive. A couple of good restaurants and food stores within a few miles. Easy drive to larger towns of Yarmouth and Digby.

The wooden house is situated among tall trees, with vibrant autumn foliage surrounding it. The structure has large windows with a combination of triangular and rectangular shapes, allowing natural light to fill the interior. A spacious deck extends from the front, offering outdoor seating options.

Nature house on the lake

We had a wonderful time at Johann’s with our two children. The house appears new and is very clean. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed, but not the clutter that you sometimes find in homes. The bed linens/towels were all new and clean. We enjoyed the lovely lake and its proximity to the house. The children slept upstairs and there is a large space outside of the room with windows that they enjoyed sitting and playing in when it rained. The wood stove kept the house so toasty. It should be noted that, like the description says, there is no Wi-Fi and limited cell service. There was, however, a very nice selection of classical cds that we enjoyed. The house is in a very private and pristine area. We loved our week!
