Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. Recent rustic built wooden hut on our hillside property. One comfortable single bed . Breakfast corner , eat at the window overlooking the fields and SH10 or outside on the little deck. Toilet and shower is at the main house which has its own seperate entrance and will be shared with other guests if they are occupying the Cabin . Doves Bay was a wonderful place to unwind. Such a treat to wake up to the beautiful view. We loved having breakfast on the deck in the morning sun, watching the tuis and fantails flit through the garden. Even heard kiwis calling at night, and the stars on a clear night are incredible. There’s a lovely walk down to the beach. Ivan and Vivienne were lovely, thoughtful hosts and the place was well-equipped, superbly clean and very comfortable.

This place was amazing from the easy and private access way to the beach to the great restaurants down in the road to the main centre. We loved walking up and having our breakfast over looking the bay. Definitely a gem of a place!

Had a lovely stay while we were up north visiting family. We didnt spend much time at the house which was ashame as it was so lovely, spacious and everything we needed. We will definitely be back again but for longer so we can enjoy the space without rashing about.

We had a fantastic time at Nikki and Chris’s place. The house is spacious, comfortable, and set in beautiful surroundings. Even in winter, we made the most of the backyard and loved relaxing in the spa pool. The bedrooms can get a bit chilly, but the extra blankets were a thoughtful touch. The fireplace kept the rest of the house warm and cosy throughout our stay. The beds were super comfortable, and the house was spotless. Thanks so much, Nikki and Chris, for your warm hospitality and great communication — we hope to come back in summer!
