Beachfront vacation rentals in Dikwella

The place was lovely, right on the river front and absolutely peaceful. Its also very close to the beach and we would definitely recommend the place. Somehow the tuktuk price around the area were pretty outrageous, so if you have a rented or owned vehicle, it’ll make things a lot easier but that’s not on the host, they were absolutely amazing.

Wow wow, we had an incredible stay! The housekeeper Ari and his wife amita were so so kind, the oceanfront location was impeccable, we had an issue with the electric, but thanks to Rebecca’s quick and helpful service it was taken care of promptly and professionaly, I would highly recommend this property!

We were lucky and were able to check in early. I was sent all the information I needed on a w***e. Upon arrival, we were met by Guyan and Irish. Irish was very kind, we saw him every day when he came to clean the area. Having a pool is an absolute plus in this villa. We bathed in it both morning and evening. The sea is a 3-minute walk. At this time, it is not crowded and almost all the beaches are not crowded. It is better to move around the tangalle by bike to visit various beaches and cafes. We walked from the villa to a lovely restaurant in 10 minutes. In general, we did not regret it at all and remembered this villa for the rest of the trip.

The location of the house was absolutely stunning. Right on the beach which was empty and felt like our own was dreamy, peaceful and idyllic. Lakmal, Dulan and Nihal were so helpful and attentive to all our needs. The breakfasts and dinners Lakmal made every day were absolutely stunning! We had so much variety and a real taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. They looked after us so well and arranged tuk tuks for us when we wanted them. It’s worth taking toiletries as these weren’t provided but honestly i would absolutely recommend this house as a great base to do a morning safari and enjoy the peaceful surrounds. Great value for money!

The place is great. bed is comfortable, kitchen well equipped and very well located. a few minutes walk to the main beach and 15 minutes to Secret Beach. Prabodi is incredibly kind and helpful, and very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

Shamil was responsive and helpful. We were in a bit of situation to find last minute accommodation. Shamil was helpful to enable the check in at 10pm. This was a huge relief for us. A great host!

The house is brilliantly located. 2 mins walk to two great different beaches. One where you can learn to surf and the other where you can swim with turtles and snorkel. Lovely 20 min walk along the beach to Dickwella and tons of beach bars/restaurants. There’s a little shop next door as well that has all the essentials. Inside the house is comfy and clean. Beds are lovely and have mosquito nets and the ACs in both rooms are quiet and work well. Would highly recommend to stay here and will be doing so again if available when we are next back in the area. Hosts are friendly and very responsive. In short, we loved our stay here!

Sahan’s beautiful airbnb is a little gem in Weligama. I would 100% recommend. He greeted us at check in and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The place itself and the pool especially are absolutely gorgeous! The perfect location for a little retreat. Thanks Sahan!

We had a wonderful stay at Catherine’s cottage. Location was good; walkable to the beach. It is hard to fully explain just how spacious the cottage is - every room is large and well thought out, even the outside veranda is enormous. The children loved the little pool, it was absolutely perfect to end our Sri Lankan adventure. Thank you.

Our group of friends had an unforgettable 5-day stay at Villa Elise. The villa is in a peaceful beachfront location — perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. One of the highlights was the beautiful swimming pool, which was clean and inviting at all hours — we loved having the option for a swim any time of day or night. The villa itself is modern, spacious, and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. Celine and her team were warm, helpful, and always available when we needed anything. Breakfasts were generous and delicious, and we chose to have the in-house Chef prepare our dinners — every dish was excellent. A special highlight was the BBQ dinner, which was perfectly arranged and made for a great evening together. Villa Elise was everything we hoped for and more. It’s the perfect place for a group getaway, and we’re looking forward to return!

Awesome villa 20m from one of the best beaches in Tangalle area. House was perfect, Suresh and his wife treated us great, helped to arrange anything we needed. Definitely will be back here if we come back to this area of Sri Lanka

Sophie is a wonderful host—friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. The villa exceeded our expectations; it’s even better than the photos! The location is perfect for a beach holiday, just a short ride from Unawatuna where you’ll find great restaurants and bars. While getting an Uber or cab can occasionally be tricky, tuk-tuks are always readily available and add to the local charm. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway.

It is a great villa. Is much better in real life than in photos. The location is amazing - right on the beach. You can see and hear ocean from the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was really amazed by the whole experience. I’d definitely go there again and probably for a longer period of time.

Lovely stay. Location is outstanding, straight onto the beach. Sashi - the house keeper - is as kind as it gets and cooks amazing dishes. We celebrated our daughter's birthday and she came with a gift, not only for the birthday girl but also her sister... So kind.

Such a lovely stay a highlighting our long trip to Sri Lanka. Loved the house, the staff at the property, and the spa next door. Loved having our own kitchen (it’s fully stoked), and as a couple to have privacy away from the busy town when we wanted. Location to the beach and other walking distant destinations was perfect. Super happy we stayed here highly recommend

the best stay in Sri Lanka. if you want to feel the nature and power of the ocean you have to live here for a few days. the sound of the ocean was fantastic, the house was clean and equipped. the hosts were very nice and helpful, they even did the laundry! definitely 10/10

Ruwan is an extremely kind person who is very keen to ensure that you do not miss anything. The place looked exactly like the pictures. Everything was very clean. There was a fridge full of free water. Breakfast times were by arrangement, which we found very pleasant. Breakfast could have varied a bit more (it was the same every day). Ruwan organized transportation for us to the next accommodation at the Uber price. And the driver was very nice too. We took a trip to the turtles and to Galle together with Ruwan, which I had honestly imagined a little differently. I thought he was something like a tour guide who would also give us information, but he just drove us. I found the price to be a bit too high for that. But it was still very nice and a good idea. We do not regret spending 4 nights with Ruwan and can recommend it with a clear conscience. I'd love to go there again.

Lovely place in a great location. Slightly tricky to find for our driver but access is via another hotel entrance. There wasn’t any WiFi when we were there and in a bit of a signal black spot but still a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Sahan’s place - the location was perfect being a few minutes walk from Blue Beach on one side and Hiriketiya on the other with amazing restaurant/ seafood choices. Avisa was always on hand with great suggestions of what to do and he booked us lots of TukTuks and taxis, he was very helpful. He also served a great breakfast in the garden every morning. The only downside is that the living room part of the apartment became very hot, but the views to the sea from there were great.

Wonderful stay and the property was amazing with access to the beach right outside the back gate. Couldn’t recommend enough!

A lovely place! The staff was attentive to us. We got sick during the stay and were helped day or night. The accommodation is clean, very pleasant and peaceful. We were greeted with a glass of juice. Sincerely recommend
