A Perfect Nature Retreat – Highly Recommended! Our stay here was absolutely wonderful—one of the best ways to unwind in the midst of serene nature. Our son especially loved playing with the chickens and feeding them, which made the experience even more memorable. Agnes and her family were incredibly warm and welcoming. They even invited us to join their Easter fire in the garden, a special touch that made our stay truly unique. Agnes also prepared a delicious breakfast, including some yummy treats for our little one, which we greatly appreciated. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by beautiful landscapes, we highly recommend staying here for at least two days to fully immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of the place. It’s an ideal escape for families, couples, or anyone seeking a refreshing break in nature. We’ll definitely be back!!

Our stay in this beautiful cottage was just great. The accommodation is cozy and very clean. The location is ideal – quiet and idyllic, but still well connected. We particularly liked the proximity to the zoo in Emmen, which we could easily reach. The charming cheese shop was also a great insider tip from Anne-Marie. Typically, in addition to the cheese, we also bought an Old Jenever, the traditional Dutch juniper, and had Hagelslag for breakfast. And of course, the hot tub was just fantastic for relaxing. For nature lovers, the nearby forest is ideal for walks or bike rides. We enjoyed the peace and the fresh air very much. Anne-Marie and Marnix were super friendly and helpful, communication was straightforward and they responded quickly. There wasn't even a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival 😊 Conclusion: An absolutely recommended accommodation, we will be happy to come back.

There were three of us in the apartment. There is a nice, large living room with large couch, two separate bedrooms, a great kitchen and a small, somewhat narrow bathroom. The apartment has three large TVs. The kitchen via a stove, microwave, kettle and dishwasher. Bed linen and towels were provided to us. Heating and shower worked perfectly. The location of the apartment is not optimal at a larger intersection, but close to the city center and a short distance to the train station. overall, the apartment met our requirements and is recommended in terms of value for money. The communication with Annegret was great.

We had a lovely stay! The Airbnb is on the farm with the hosts in a small annex. In general, we spoke to the hosts in person on arrival and departure, otherwise we only saw the two of them walking across the yard sometimes. But we had our privacy at all times and you didn't feel watched. The kitchen is well equipped and we rented the sauna for €40/3 hours, which can be reached directly through a door at the bedroom. That was a great experience! In addition, P+R is directly in Groningen for €6/5 persons/round trip. We can recommend the Airbnb!

We came from France for 4 nights, the hosting was very warm, The setting is very beautiful and quiet, well designed for our dog Lilou, small enclosed courtyard, the accommodation is comfortable, as indicated on the website. What a wonderful stay we had in the cozy house of Aster and Erik. After a warm welcome, it didn't take long for us to feel completely at home. With lovely places to sit in the house: around the fireplace, by the TV, a reading corner, a relaxing chair and a great dining table. And a fully equipped kitchen with cooking island, where you can also look outside and enjoy the beautiful view. The bedrooms are also fine and the beds comfortable. The large bathroom downstairs is a bit more luxurious, but the bathroom upstairs also works fine. And around the house there are also all cozy seating areas, 1 of which with a canopy under which we sat outside despite less good weather. Also the room with foosball, darts, pool table and other fun games was great! The area is also really beautiful. We'd love to come back here.

Cottage matches the photos, even better (we didn't expect an entrance spacious enough to put our bikes under cover). Frootje is very responsive to messages and her mom welcomed us on arrival. Absolute calm, very clear environment, very pleasant living space, very good bedding. In the listing, there are 3 bedrooms, there are 4 (2 with double beds, separable if needed), and 2 with single beds. One of the double bedrooms is on the ground floor, which is good for people with difficulties with fairly steep stairs. Just so you know, the curtains could be blackout (in the bedrooms) for those who like darkness to sleep. And the toilet is located with the shower, a little annoying when you want to get ready in the morning. In short, a place to remember. Thank you for everything. Nadine

We had a nice time with six adults. The space was good for the six of us. Monique and Peter sent very clear instructions about the accommodation. Immediately after booking, a message whether we knew that a number of sleeping places with a somewhat steeper staircase are accessible. Very thoughtful but was also clear from the description and photos. Beautiful view, beautiful, very large garden. Sauna was wonderful all in combination with the outdoor shower. Space to put the bikes dry, very nice. Being able to charge the car, also a plus. And Peter and Monique were super nice. We even got some discount on the use of the sauna because they found it annoying that the weather was not so good. I can recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all with a few people and enjoy the tranquility and space that is there.

We enjoyed our stay and had a fantastic time in Midwolde. It was easy to start our bike tours from here. The sauna and all other amenities were outstanding! A very tasteful intererior design. The beds were so comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay!

Overall a lovely stay in a very well located place. Kitchen was clean and had a large dishwasher which was helpful with children in tow. Full bath was lovely. Caretaker was friendly and a pleasure to work with. A really cool guy who furnished the place with personal, artistic touches. Groningen was so easy to explore on a rental bakfiets. Grocery, restaurants, parks and cultural places minutes from the apartment. Wish we had access to the washer/dryer given we were traveling with children. Bath was not operational due to a leak needing investigation through no fault of the caretakers doing, but would have made bathing children easier. Overall would highly recommend. Edwin was so friendly and oriented us during our check in. Groningen beats the bustle of the Randstad any day!

We had a great stay in Erica. Unlike the pictures and description, there was no oven in the apartment. But you can use a shared kitchen. Very nice and well-maintained apartment.

Nice studio with everything you need (modern bathroom and fully equipped kitchen) in the center of Roden. Parking right outside the door. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. At the same time on the edge of the forest and therefore a good starting point for walks. In the house also all kinds of leaflets and information about the (wide) surroundings. Nice extra were the board games to play. Very pleasant contact with the hostess. We enjoyed it.

Julian is a responsive host. His apartment offers a quiet, natural light-filled home with a very comfortable bed in a modern well-appointed space. It was very clean upon arrival and the washer/dryer was great to have since we had been traveling already 10 days. Julian was very agreeable in getting the key to our daughter who lives in the town since we were arriving very late. What we wish we had known/understood: the apartment is up three flights of a tight spiral staircase; while not cluttered at all it’s clear that it’s the owners living space (e.g. no ability to use closet because personal items were there) and food items were in the fridge and cabinets. Again, not cluttered, but it just surprised us. The listing notes that there’s a private office area (& shows photos) however that was marked private with a closed door and full of the owner’s items. The apartment was very convenient to our daughter’s apt and Julian was very flexible; we would love to stay again!

We were received in a very friendly manner and felt right at home. The apartment is well equipped and above all we loved the large terrace. The view is simply a dream!!! We would come back anytime. Thank you for everything.
