We (family of four with young kids) came across this house and loved it, but it didn’t have a bed for our one year old daughter, so we sent Vic a message and he went out of his way to find one. Great start! When we got there, the house was even better than the pictures give away: private villa on the quiet outskirts of Ahangama, but a five minute tuk tuk ride will get you to the town’s centre where all the restaurants and such are. Modern bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, nice kitchen and living room, beautiful pool, huge patio with a roof over it, monkeys in the trees in the morning etc. etc. I contacted Vic several times during our stay and always got quick replies with great advice - places to eat, tuk tuk drivers, surf coach and places to see. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again myself some day!

Chanuka was a warm and welcoming host. He lives right next door and is super helpful and responsive to any needs you may have. Mango house is well located with lots of shops nearby. Tuk tuks and taxi both are easy to get from this location. The house comes fully equipped and I really enjoyed having a fully functioning kitchen at my disposal. We were a family of three and the house felt comfortable and spacious. I highly recommend Mango house for travellers who want a break from the hotel/hostel route and want to stay at a place that feels like a private home.

Wir hatten so eine schöne Zeit. Der Garten ist riesig und das Haus war sauber und wir hatten ganz viel Platz als Familie. Zu Fuß kann man die Umgebung erkunden. Restaurants, Supermärkte und der Strand lässt sich zu Fuß erkunden. Eine tolle Nachbarschaft und vor allem eine sehr ruhige. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Die Familie hat uns sogar morgens Frühstück gemacht, das unglaublich lecker war. Wir sind sehr traurig gehen zu müssen und behalten das Haus in schöner Erinnerung . Bis bald , Anna und Tim

Der Aufenthalt war rundum super – die Unterkunft war sauber, gemütlich und genau wie beschrieben. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Gastgeber: unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar. Man hat sich sofort willkommen gefühlt. I recently had the pleasure of staying at an Airbnb hosted by Ruwan, and it was a delightful experience. Ruwan was an extremely warm and welcoming host, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to both the beach and Coconut Tree Hill. The lush green property felt almost like staying in a forest, offering a serene environment. The breakfast provided was very good, with a variety of delicious options. The room was a bit small, but it didn't affect our comfort during the stay. Additionally, Ruwan offers to help plan activities in and around Mirissa, which could add a lot of value to your trip. Despite the minor detail about the room size, the stay had its positive aspects, particularly Ruwan's hospitality, the excellent breakfast, and the beautiful surroundings. This Airbnb is a great choice for travelers looking for a welcoming host and a beautiful location.

What a great place to stay! The villa has many rare amenities, kitchen, washing machine, iron, sink, hair dryer, laundry dryer. Two desks is something no one has in this area! Most hosts assume only one desk, but we are a couple working remotely, so we needed two. The ergonomic chairs are a huge advantage, we've never had such good chairs when working away from home, we felt like we were in our home office with them. We moved the desks to one of the bedrooms and it was a breakthrough, one bedroom for us and the other bedroom as an office, both with air conditioning. The place was very clean. The scooter included is a huge added value, we used it a lot and can't imagine life without a scooter. Pinidu and his mom are wonderful! They have helped us so many times and have always been very kind, responsive, supportive. They are amazing people and we will miss them. Pinidu also treated us to a variety of fruits and regional foods, told us a lot about Sri Lanka, showed us temples.Recommended!

Особенно понравилась крыша – идеальное место для занятий йогой. Кухня полностью оборудована, так что готовить было удобно. Кровати в спальнях комфортные, спалось отлично. До пляжа всего 5-7 минут пешком, а до серф-спота в Велигаме – около 25 минут. В целом, это был замечательный опыт, и мы благодарны хозяевам за гостеприимство!

Our stay at the villa was truly exceptional. The property itself is stunning, with antique, beautifully maintained furniture that adds a unique charm to the space. The villa was impeccably clean, thoughtfully organized, and completely free of clutter. Situated in a peaceful neighborhood, the villa offers a serene retreat while being conveniently located just a 20-minute drive from major restaurants and tourist attractions. Irosh, the host, and his family were incredibly warm and welcoming. They greeted us with a delightful welcome drink, making us feel at home right away. Irosh was an excellent guide, offering insightful recommendations on places to visit and assisting us with transportation arrangements. Overall, the combination of the villa’s charm, its ideal location, and the hospitality of the host made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.

Amazing Stay – Highly Recommended! We had a fantastic time at this villa! The property was clean, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. The ambiance was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were spacious, the amenities were top-notch. Chef Sammy’s food was superb! Very accommodating and he catered to our requirement without a hesitation and Thari was so helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a perfect holiday experience!

Wir waren für zwei Nächte in einem Bungalow und es war der Hammer! Es war so groß und super gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Bett war sehr bequem und das Bad war riesig, alles war sauber! Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Anlage ist super grün und schön und der Pool ist auch wirklich toll angelegt. Einen kostenlosen Tuktukservice von 10-19 Uhr stand uns jeden Tag zur Verfügung. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück kostet 2200 Rupies und ist ein ausreichendes Buffet. Es wird sowohl europäisches als auch lokales Frühstück angeboten. Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen und würden gerne wiederkommen.

Loved our stay at Villa Sepalika! The location is amazing - an oasis of calm and green with the odd peacock and monkey to add to the tropical holiday! The pool is outstanding and the lawn is great for games (if you can tear yourself away from the beautiful big verandah!). The staff were lovely - they made sure we had everything we needed and the cook was superb! Thank you for a lovely stay and we look forward to the next time!

We hadden een heel leuke tijd in Karin haar. Alles is perfect in orde en schoon! Leuk strand op wandelafstand en alles is gemakkelijk bereikbaar met de tuktuk driver. Sathish de house manager was heel vriendelijk en gemakkelijk bereikbaar bij vragen.

Such a beautiful place with peaceful waterfront location, we stayed with a big group of 29 adults and south point villa and south point ocean was able to accommodate all of us very comfortably. We had a great time swimming in the pools and the ocean, taking sunset walks on the beach. The staff are lovely and work tirelessly to meet our needs, we had a wonderful stay and are already looking forward to returning next year.

We had the most wonderful stay at Etamba House. This Geoffrey Bawa inspired property is beautiful and even better than the photos suggest. The rooms are huge and tastefully decorated with an elegant nod to Sri Lanka's past. The bathrooms are inside/outside with beautiful showers and plenty of space. The service from Michael and Shehan was exceptional. Breakfast is different each day with a set menu but they're flexible to your requests. the dinner that Talakshi prepares is wonderful (the portions are huge!). Can't say anything bad about this place. Go and stay there. Enjoy this beautiful home and the peace and quiet that surrounds it.

top verblijf, met de liefste vader als buurman. Hij komt bijvoorbeeld altijd met een lampje schijnen als je aankomt/vertrekt in de avond. daardoor kan je ook altijd vragen stellen, maar laat hij je verder met rust en is het helemaal prive. wij komen hier zeker terug!

Our stay at Villa Ema was fantastic. The villa is beautifully designed, spacious, and very easy to find. It offers complete privacy and a peaceful atmosphere, making it the perfect retreat. The villa is fully equipped with all modern amenities, including a well-stocked kitchen that made our stay even more comfortable. Mr. Asintha and his wife are incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. Communication with them was effortless and clear throughout our stay. Each room is thoughtfully designed with air conditioning, attached bathrooms, and very comfortable beds. The quality of the fittings and the overall architecture of the villa is exceptional. Everything was immaculately clean and well maintained. We truly appreciated their hospitality and the effort they made to accommodate us. Our experience at Villa Ema was outstanding, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Galle area.

We (family with a 3y old) stayed at the villa for one month and it was truly a great stay. We felt at home from the first day on when Nulush and Mudeka received us with an amazing curry. The Villa is located in a quit local area with some stores with basic stuff in walking distance. . The main bedroom with aircon is fantastic and includes a desk which is good for working. The living area is comfortable and the garden outside the villa with its lush green is always a highlight to look at, specially on rainy days. Monkeys come visit all the time, including some mongoose, warans, many birds. The outdoor shower was a highlight for me. A big Thank goes to Nilush and Mudeka and as well the owners for being always so responsive and helpful during a our stay. Nilush helped me even to organize a Tuktuk which we used during all our stay. The cooking class was a great experience as well and the food delicious. We would definitely recommend this villa.

The house is amazing, the photos don't do it justice. It is far bigger than it looked in the pictures. The manager Manoji is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He cooked us a delicious breakfast every morning and he also did us a dinner one night which was the nicest meal we'd eaten in Sri Lanka, and the cost was very reasonable. He was always on hand if we needed anything. There's also a night watchman that stays in the grounds every night. It's about a 20 minute walk to the beach and the main road. The road to the house is quite narrow so be warned if you have a wide car!

Villa Vintage is a beautiful authentic home away from home. Although it is big enough for a family, the two of us had a really nice time here. Great place to work and to relax at the same time. The villa is secluded in the green and lush hinterland of Hikkaduwa. Away from all the city noise but at the same time it is very close by and walkable to the heart of Hikkaduwa. We can not recommend this villa enough. Prabhath & Brig Himal are excellent hosts who will do anything to make you feel at home. Easy communication throughout our stay.

We stayed 5 days at this beautiful Airbnb right by the beach. It was the host's childhood home, and honestly, I can't imagine growing up somewhere so stunning. It rained almost the entire time we were there because of the monsoon, but the house was so perfect to watch the rain. The rain would pour off the roof like a fountain, and the beach was two two-minute walk away. The property had sooooo many trees, mango, bananas, olive, coconut, bay leaves, you name it, they have it. The hosts were gracious and allowed us to freely pick mangoes every morning. Everything at the villa made us feel right at home. We loved the caretaker uncle. The property was a little far off from central Mirissa (15 Minutes by tuk-tuk), so the beaches were immaculate and quiet. Most of the time, we had the entire beach to ourselves. We could hear the sound of the beach at night from our rooms at night. Recommended if you are travelling with a big group and wish to stay for a while at Mirissa.

Ich habe 4 schöne Nächte bei Lucie und Lahiru verbracht. Es ist ein tolles Erlebnis die Tiere (Affen, Vögel) hautnah zu hören und im Dschungel zu erleben. Das Essen von Lahiru war super lecker & Lucie hat mir tolle Tipps zu fairen Preisen für die Umgebung gegeben. Die Kommunikation war toll und beide sehr hilfsbereit. Sie haben mir z.B. einen Fahrer vom Flughafen zu dem Apartment organisiert. Großartige Gastfreundschaft mit lieben Hunden!!Wenn man ein bisschen Weg vom Trubel der Main Road will ist das ein großartiger Platz (ca. 15 min von Ahangama landeinwärts entfernt). Man sollte sich aber bewusst sein, dass man ein kleines Stück offroad fährt und wenn man keine gute Moped-Fahrerin ist (Mofa kann man bei Lucie entspannt ausleihen) ist man auf TukTuk-Fahrer angewiesen und bei mir gestaltete es sich manchmal zurück ins Apartment abends etwas schwierig, da die „nicht einheimischen Fahrer“ in den Städten den Weg nicht gut kannten und oft leider zu unfairen Preisen gefahren sind.
