Originally the bedroom of the Ewing twins, whose family arrived in Carlisle in 1849, was papered with the present rose design in the 1930's. The Paradise Amish Guesthouse is located on a typical Amish family rural property in central Lancaster County. John & Sarah have 5 children aged 12 & up. There are horses & chickens, as well as a large vegetable garden out back. A tour of the property may be available if time allows (please ask if interested). There will be other opportunities for interaction depending on the length of your stay, time of year & the family schedule.
