Lake side house rentals in Danforth

I was looking for a comfortable place to stay while my husband and I were town, and this was definitely it! We felt right comfortable and right at home, and it was wonderful having the whole place to ourselves. The location is beautiful and tranquil, and you can't ask for a better view. There were a few minor hiccups while we were there, but Ashley was proactive and responded immediately. We will be back in the future and recommend this place to others as well!

Sandy’s property was amazing. The lake is beautiful the house is so well decorated and spacious. She was extremely responsive for any questions and even messaged to check in during our stay. The house was full of amenities, the kayaks were our favorite. Will definitely stay again!

This is our second stay at Gary‘s place. We look forward to many more. Comfortable, very horny feeling. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds. Just an overall great place to relax for a few days.

We are 4 couples - 8 adults - who vacation at a different lake in Maine each summer. This home was absolutely perfect and comfortable for us all. Easy water access for boating is right there. The yard was great for our cornhole games. We had everything we needed for cooking and enjoying great meals together. Our hosts were the best, available to us if needed, and providing local info that made our stay memorable.

I couldn't ask for a better, home location and host. Thanks for everything.

The home was wonderful. It was fully stocked with a great layout. There was plenty of parking, with direct trail access from the door.

Very homey and comfortable cabin. Can't beat the location and surroundings where just beautiful. Did not lack for anything in kitchen, will book again!!

Anna was incredibly communicative and her place was clean, quiet, and exactly what we were looking for. We especially loved her two little greeter cats!

This was by far the best AirBNB experience we’ve ever had. The house was spotless and had everything we needed and more. It was comfortable, private and clean. The views of the lake are unmatched. Our stay at Marie and Harry’s River Valley Escape was incredible! The place was spotless, quiet, and exactly as described. The hot tub and sauna were a dream, offering ultimate relaxation. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, making for restful nights. The hosts were kind and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

Our family loved our stay in Julie’s place! It has the most beautiful view of the water & mountain. The weather didn’t cooperate while we were there to be able to enjoy the views or outside as much. But can’t say enough good things about this property! You won’t regret staying here! There’s such good restaurants close by, too! Check out Knifes Edge Brewery & River Drivers Restaurant. Moose Prints Gallery and Gifts has amazing photography and gifts, the owners were SO kind!

It was a cozy cabin with a beautiful view. It was convenient to get to Baxter State Park for hiking and Millinocket for restaurants and grocery shopping. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook some good meals. Loved the kayaks being included even we only got to paddle once because the weather changed.

We loved our stay in the cozy triangle! Lots of peaceful walks with our dog and enjoyed the outdoors! Such a sweet retreat! Thank you! We will be back

Beautiful and relaxing location staying in a contemporary home which blends seamlessly with the setting. The rocky beach is down a staircase and we loved strolling and soaking in the sea air. The kitchen is very well equipped and we appreciated all the extras such as olive oil and spices. Kate is a very accommodating host and our short stay was really superb.

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. I loved that if was off grid. The cabin was gorgeous and rustic. The bed was super comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked for any cooking or bbqing. Loved it there.

This place was absolutely perfect! Definitely book this place, Erin thought of all the little details- even left coffee and cream. We loved the uniqueness and character of the River Dome. It has everything for a perfect getaway. Our boys loved the jacuzzi, kayaks, and view. We would certainly come back!

We went up for a long weekend of snowmobiling. the house easily fit 3 families. love the pool table, darts, and hot tub for the kids and adults. best part besides the view was trail access right from the property. loved it and we'll be back in the fall for atv season :)

Kyle was phenomenal. He really takes pride in making sure his guests are all set. He checked in with me several times to make sure everything was going well, and if I had any questions. I was here for a full month with work, and he was very easy to work with. The place is great for 1-2 people. Very clean and the place has a lot of character. I would HIGHLY recommend this place! Very clean and private! Dealing with a very nice person is a bonus as well!

The cabin was very comfortable, quiet, and just as described. Everything you need for cooking is already there. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, wifi was amazing. We went kayaking one day and it was beautiful. There are tons of rocks just below the surface of the water near the islands but you can see them because the water is so clear. The drive to the cabin is a long gravel road and thankfully we have 4WD because it might have been harder to get up the driveway from the cabin if we didn’t. There were loons on the pond every day and night but they were fun to see and hear. We also had some hummingbirds visit the feeder at the cabin and loved watching them our whole stay. The water from the faucet is from the lake but it’s so clear you almost wouldn’t know it. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet, natural place to relax.
