Cabin vacation rentals in Damascus

My girlfriend and I had a great time spending the weekend at Tucked Inn and, for the most part, everything went as smoothly as expected! We arrived late, and there was a gentleman there starting some work on the property’s hot tub. We got in touch with Donnie using his phone, and my understanding is that the repairman was meant to arrive earlier in the day. I don’t necessarily believe it was any fault of the hosts that he was around. The drive up is straightforward as long as you follow the instructions the hosts provide; the path requires 1.5-2 miles of unmapped travel, so a GPS alone won’t quite get you there. Although I would definitely recommend traveling with a higher-clearance vehicle, my compact sedan made it up just fine with some caution and patience. Overall, Tucked Inn was a great space to unplug and unwind which is something we both really needed. It’s a very cozy and low-tech-vacation space I would hope we have the chance to come back to in the future!

My husband and I come to the mountains often and stay different places. The Glass Tree House was definitely a favorite of ours by far!! It had so many unique amenities from the waterfall right outside to many different coffee brewing options, a well stocked kitchen and the unique fireplace with plenty of dry wood to enjoy in the evenings. We also enjoyed the hot tub right beside the waterfall, very unique to this home. It was also nice that you could hear the waterfall even when inside and the windows were closed. Whether you were inside or outside you could enjoy the beauty of the outdoors from any room. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, peaceful, romantic and relaxing get away, this is definitely it! Thank you Ashley and Andy for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Perfect Mountain Getaway! We had an amazing stay! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, well equipped and had every comfort we could ask for. Nestled in a peaceful, scenic neighborhood, the property offered the perfect blend of mountain charm. Heather was incredibly welcoming and responsive, providing clear instructions and thoughtful touches throughout the home—from cozy blankets and local coffee to recommendations. The views from the deck were stunning, especially at sunrise —perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The location was ideal—just a short drive to downtown Boone, and other nearby attractions. We didn’t want to leave and will absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable stay near Boone.

The A-frame was exactly as described. Kitchen was well stocked, appreciate the coffee! Beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels, etc. we wished we had time for one more night here to enjoy all the board games!

We absolutely loved the cabin. The outdoor and indoor spaces were super cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub as well as the outdoor fire pit. The kitchen was well stocked, so we were able to make all of our meals there. The grill was clean and worked great. The cabin and the property were perfect!

Lauren’s place was amazing! We enjoyed sitting by the fire at night and the kids loved the hot tub and ping pong table. Everything was clean and lots of chairs for the entire family. It is tucked back into the woods so it was quiet and peaceful. We also enjoyed watching several deer walk past a few times. I’m highly recommend Lauren’s cabin.

Absolutely beautiful setting and a really lovely house. There were some really nice touches in the available coffee and tea, high quality linens, and thoughtful welcome guide. Super quiet and out of the way, which is just what we wanted.

Richard’s cozy cabin in fleetwood was a very good value for our 2 seniors + pet party. The cabin has a lot of outdoor space with a gazebo in front, a deck by the front door and a new beautiful covered deck with gas fire pit off the back door through the bedroom. We very much appreciated the $0 pet fee for our 4-legged friend. And our compliments to housekeeping, we do not take that for granted. Comfortable bed, kitchen is tight but well equipped and stocked with essentials. An advisory for seniors with a dog, the walks will be up and down some steep hilly terrain; consult your cardiologist.

When I arrived at the Airbnb, it was easy to find and locate. The door code was correct and when I went inside and unpacked my belongings, everything was exactly as promised. The bathrooms were pristine. And the Airbnb itself was immaculate. All the amenities promised were there and the scenery was amazing. This was an ideal location for my trip. I was on an annual motorcycle trip, which I typically take to the mountains of Tennessee, West Virginia and Kentucky. Once I got into the Airbnb and got settled, I went outside to move my motorcycle and my motorcycle would not start. That being said, my host was beyond understandable. He was helpful. Extremely helpful actually, without his help I don’t know if I would’ve been able to get my situation resolved. He is a standup guy, honest, friendly, and everything you would want from a host. I ended up having to cut my trip short. Due to my mechanical issues. But I would highly recommend this Airbnb and I for one will certainly be going back-

Both the cabin and location were absolutely beautiful! Tucked away and private, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to get away. The hot tub worked perfectly, and was very clean. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at Buttermilk Acres. The place is beautiful and a lovely get away into nature. The showers were awesome and bathroom was close to the cabin so going outside wasn’t a bother at all (even at 8 months pregnant!)

We have rented homes on Watauga 15+ times and this so far has been our favorite. It’s very obvious how well the home and outside is cared for. The patio, furniture, and dock are all so clean. I have found that a lot of places lack that part. It was so nice to be able to paddleboard and kayak without paying extra. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. I highly recommend this house and plan to return for future visits if it’s available!

Loved staying here! Very peaceful and the river was very nice for fishing.

My husband and son thoroughly enjoyed their stay. They kept saying how much I would love this place. They really had some meaningful conversations and wonderful father and son time. They enjoyed the photos at the cabin and apparently had a great conversation with a neighbor. They were disappointed in the fishing. A game warden advised that the stream wasn’t stocked this year because of the debris and impact of hurricane Helene but he did direct them to another stream just a 20min drive away and he gave them directions to a beautiful waterfall.

We had a fun weekend of hiking and brewery hopping and enjoyed coming back to the cabin each night! This is a small, rustic cabin, in a secluded and private location. The cabin has all of the amenities you could want, including a cook top for making breakfast and a washer/dryer for refreshing those gross hiking clothes. The only improvement that would be a game changer would be a bit more attention paid to the grounds and the walkway down to the fire pit. At night it's pretty much impossible to see without using a lantern, which we unfortunately didn't bring, and the pathway itself could use some weed-eating and maintenance. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would return!

This place is breathtaking, it’s so peaceful and the views are amazing. Linda and Greg were absolutely incredible they are extremely kind and understanding. The directions to and from were to a tea. The house was so cozy and clean. I will say the kitchen was STOCKED it had everything you can think of even the little knick knack you may have forgotten at home. We celebrated our 1 year old son birthday here, and couldn’t think of a better peaceful place for two first time parents trying to get away from it all. Linda and Greg’s response time to any questions I had was very timely. definitely coming back! Thank you guys for letting us stay in your beautiful home!!

Wonderful tucked away location. The photos do not do the view justice! Used this place for a girls trip; bedroom and full bath downstairs and 2 bedrooms with a half bath upstairs worked well for the 3 of us. West Jefferson is a sold 30min drive away so be sure to have whatever food or supplies you need for the night before heading up for the night. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of plates and cutlery though only 1 stock pot, 1 sauce pan, and 1 flat pan. We made it work but 1-2 more would have been useful. Would totally rent again, great launch pad for Grayson. Thanks for a great stay!

Even better than the photos! We spent most of our time on the patio with great seating, lovely view, hummingbirds visiting and in the fantastic hot tub! Our dogs LOVED the open grass to run in. The beds were comfy and cozy and the kitchen/bathroom were very well stocked.

What a great cabin! Everything was clean, and the location is absolutely beautiful. Short drive to Grayson Highlands, Damascus, and there is fishing in Laurel Creek just 5 minutes from the Cabin! Will definitely stay again the next time we are down here!

We really enjoyed our stay here! This cabin is cozy, peaceful, and quiet. It offers a great view of a farm, with sheep, ducks, and chickens. The cabin offered good amenities. The bed was comfortable, the space was very clean, check-in and check-out were very easy. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. 20 minute drive to Boone and West Jefferson. Thank you for a great trip and a great place to stay.

Lovely space! You cannot beat the views at this location. It was so lovely to wake up to the beautiful fields and seeing the cute cows alongside the fence. The cabin was so peaceful and so cute! It was very warm and homey! It was well stocked with everything you need. The communication between us and the owners was so helpful and they were super responsive. Very kind and understanding! I 100% recommend and we hope to return soon.

My stay was fantastic! The cabin was clean cozy and had everything in listing. The community lake was peaceful and beautiful. Fishing there was super fun! We tried the local BBQ they recommended; the Pedalin’ Pig and it was AMAZING. The river nearby was also a great scenic spot. I had no trouble finding it, as the instructions were very clear in the listing. I would definitely come back!
