The Forest Patio at El Yunque National Forest

Wow! This place is truly in the rainforest! Loved the frogs singing at night and the beautiful sunsets from the property! Comfy bed and large bathroom was a treat! We used the blender for smoothies and sat outside our place soaking in the sun! We hiked the el Toro which is 5 minutes from this property and ate at the la hacienda which was also 5 minutes away, the views from hike and restaurant are incredible!

Eunice's home was the perfect, relaxing basecamp for our time in Puerto Rico. 35 minutes to San Juan, 30 minutes to Piñones & Luquillo, 45 to El Yunque. The last 10 minutes of the drive are up a countryside, we recommend reserving at least a small SUV; our Hyundai Elantra was not a fan of some of the bumps/getting in the driveway. However, the space and amenities 100% make that drive worth it. The pool and outdoor space was amazing and the small, indoor kitchen was just enough. Not to mention we had an intense pickleball tournament and game of horse on the courts on the property! Absolutely recommend!

What a gem! We had an amazing time at this beautiful home. We had to adjust travel plans and booked this last minute. The home was ready (early!) and Eunice was very helpful. The place is charming, relaxing and the has most beautiful views. Only about 25 min from San Juan with some tricky mountain roads at times, but absolutely worth the drive! Eunice was an excellent host with great communication. We loved our experience & hope to return soon.

We loved our stay in the special tropical jungle location. We felt totally at home there, made welcome By Esteban and his family. The view from The balcony is sensational. One morning I lost my glasses off the balcony in the wind and Esteban very enthusiastically searched for them in The dense bushes until he found them. I was just so grateful. I would happily go back.

We loved staying at Esteban’s place. He made us feel right at home when we arrived. We extended our trip by one night, as we felt the location was perfect to travel to surrounding areas as well. The sunset views were incredible. Esteban’s recommendations were on point! We had a wonderful dinner at Don Pepe and headed to Isabel after leaving there, thanks to his advice. Everything was wonderful! We never ran out of hot water. It was the perfect place for us to stay during our 4 days in El Yunque! We will visit again.

A very unique stay amidst the wilderness! We loved listening to all the sounds of the forest and being surrounded by the lush greenery. It was a perfect way to disconnect from the city and engage in nature. The place had all we needed and we loved the indoor-outdoor aspect. Would highly recommend if you’re a nature lover and want a retreat into the gorgeous wilderness!
