In the heart of stunning medieval village, Quiet location but short walk to the butcher, restaurant and tabac/bar. 5 mins drive to Montignac and the Lascaux caves and beautiful villages of thé Dordogne valley. Canoeing easily accessible. Review from Allison: Absolutely wonderful. Beautiful house, everything you need for your stay. Lovely area with plenty to do and see. Best value and nicest place we have stayed.

Thank you for the time spent in this cottage. Pleasant welcome, cottage met our expectations… .a very small downside: parking is not easy… but Cecile and Nicolas are not to blame… the "medieval" environment of Turenne imposes constraints. We adapted to it, the sun makes everything better...

We had a lovely stay at the airb&b! A beautiful authentic cottage located in the picturesque village of Martel and a beautiful area. Laurence's place is a dream, everything you can imagine from a cozy and magical place was there, from a vegetable garden to a swimming pool to an enchanting view. The center of Martel is 5 minutes' drive and 20 minutes' walk, there are all the sights and amenities (supermarket, bakery, restaurants and terraces) within walking distance. Laurence herself is very welcoming and despite the fact that we did not always understand each other through the language, she wanted to show us her beautiful place and took us into her beautiful surroundings. She was close but also very mindful of privacy. We experienced her as a loving, passionate and warm woman, we could not have wished for a nicer b&b hostess. We are enchanted by the beautiful place of Laurence and the village of Martel and hope to definitely come back again🌸

A real slice of heaven. We spent a little week with our 9-month-old baby in this beautifully tastefully renovated old barn. When we arrived on the premises, we did “OMG” Everything was almost perfect. Fiona welcomed us and as soon as we needed anything, she was very responsive. Heather, in a message, also made sure everything was okay. There was also another family who rented in another part of the house next door but each had its own tranquility and outdoor space. I would highly recommend it

A real favorite! La Marquise des Anges is a haven of peace in the heart of Martel. The house is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and everything is designed for comfort. Paulette and her husband are lovely hosts, available when needed, very responsive, welcoming and full of nice touches and anecdotes. The house is clean and functional, and matches the description as well as the photos. The outside is very nice and well suited to enjoy it in peace. The location is ideal for visiting the surroundings (a car is essential). We recommend their cottage without a second thought, we are even already planning to go back!
