Vacation rentals in Courlac

Have just had a fabulously relaxing & enjoyable stay at Louise’s home. The house was wonderful - spacious & beautifully decorated. The rooms were perfect for our needs with good storage (wardrobe & drawers) & very comfy beds. We also really appreciated the small touches such as lovely handwash soaps left in the bathrooms & decent sized, good quality towels. We felt right at home immediately - the kitchen was a great size and well stocked in terms of kitchenware - plenty of everything, from pans to glasses to coffee machines (traditional Italian hob style and electric pod Nespresso). The setting was perfect for us - private, surrounded by fields of sunflowers & only a couple of very discrete neighbouring houses. A boulangerie was only a 10min drive away. The garden, with its beautiful shaded seating area & swimming pool were much enjoyed. Louise was so friendly and helpful from my first contact, that I began to relax into holiday mode immediately. This is a lovely rental.

We loved our holiday at Maison des Abeilles. We were there with our family, including 3 grandchildren aged 9, 7 and 5 months. The house is a good family house, comfortable, very well equipped and welcoming. The kitchen and bathrooms are a little dated but all is clean, the beds are very comfortable with nice linen. The two covered terraces, one facing east, the other west, with dining tables and chairs are great. The garden is spacious and private, the heated pool, approx 12x6m, is perfect. Nearby, beautiful Aubeterre sur Dronne is a lovely village. The local area is rural, unspoilt and very peaceful. We enjoyed some local walks from the house. There was an issue with the drains during our stay. Chris responded immediately and quickly arranged appropriate help. All was sorted quickly. We would happily return.

We had a fantastic stay at Mary’s cottage! Mary is a wonderful host—warm, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. She gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area and shared thoughtful advice about our possible future move to France, which we really appreciated. The cottage is charming, clean, and very comfortable, with a beautiful and completely private garden that we had all to ourselves. Mary took the time to show us around on arrival and made sure we knew how everything worked. The wood-burning fire in the living room was already set up and ready to light, with a plentiful supply of dry wood and kindling provided. There was a terrific sense of having the home entirely to ourselves, while at the same time knowing that Mary was just around the corner should we need anything. Highly recommended!

Notre séjour chez Camille s'est très bien passé. La maison est isolée et on est donc au calme, mais permet des balades et baignades, des visites (Aubeterre sur Dronne), des courses facilement, à pied ou dans un rayon de 15min en voiture. Nous étions 3 familles avec 4 enfants de 3 à 7 ans, qui ont pu trouver largement de quoi jouer et s'amuser dans la grande maison et le jardin. Facile de se garer aussi grâce au parking (4 voitures tiennent facilement). La maison, joliment rénovée, accueille 4 chambres, 3 salles de bains et une grande "mezzanine" avec 2 lits simples et 1 lit banquette. Attention à l'étage, si vous ne pouvez pas vous baisser, il y a de grosses poutres assez basses. Camille et Benjamin seront de bons conseils et très réactifs si vous avez besoin, ils sont juste à côté :)

Nathalie et Olivier ont été des guests hyper sympa. Le lieu est incroyable et les gîtes d'une calme et sérénité parfaites. Nous avons beaucoup aimé.

Notre séjour au gîte du Manoir Gabard nous laisse un souvenir plein de nostalgie ! Quelle belle expérience ! Les lieux sont plein de charme avec un intérieur confortable et simple où l'on se sent bien, des extérieurs splendides. Nous avons adoré profiter de la piscine et du jacuzzi préparé soigneusement par Jacques pour notre séjour. L'environnement campagnard est sublime, les chevaux, les poulettes et le chien du domaine sont toujours présents et contribuent au charme. Jacques est un hôte plein de qualités, formidable, attachant, qui aime recevoir et faire plaisir. Nous l'avons ressenti comme nulle part ailleurs dans nos voyages. Il prend grand soin de son domaine et de ses voyageurs. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute Jacques. Un grand merci !

Our stay was great! Derk and his wife were very attentive and warm hosts, who welcome us and explained all about the region. The house corresponds to the pictures: it is beautiful, comfortable and cozy, has all the needed appliances for a pleasant stay in the countryside. Bathroom and shower are really good quality, living room extremely comfortable with a nice woodfire and the TV is actually larger than you can tell from the pictures. The garden is the highlight of the house, with a stunning view and a relaxing outside area for meals. The villages in the region are nice, with little shops, restaurants and sight seeing. Great recommendation for relaxing vacations! We would definitely like to stay in the Gite again in the future :) (and we love Ramsi, the golden retriever).
