Our stay at this incredible lake house in Canyon Lake was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the panoramic views of the water, the peaceful surroundings, and the thoughtfully designed home. The house itself is beautifully maintained, with a perfect mix of modern comfort and rustic charm. Spacious bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and cozy common areas made it easy for our whole group to relax and enjoy our time together. The large deck overlooking the lake quickly became our favorite spot — ideal for morning coffee, afternoon lounging, and sunset dinners. One of the standout features was private lake access. We loved being able to swim, kayak, and paddleboard right from the backyard. Evenings were spent in the hot tub under the stars — truly unforgettable. The location is perfect: secluded enough to feel like a true escape, yet close enough to town for groceries.

The unit was very clean. It had everything we needed. We loved the deck in the back of the house. Very peaceful, relaxing, like sitting in a large tree house with the trees around us. Russell was very responsive to any questions we had.

We enjoyed our stay! The cabin was just as pictured and described. Super peaceful. The hot tub was a nice amenity. The house was very cute, nicely decorated and clean!!! We had one question during our stay and Kristy answered via text right away. Would highly recommend and stay again!!

This place was exactly as advised and Cynthia was a wonderful host. We had a wonderful time at the house and at the river and Cynthia brought us some cookies on a last day by the river. What a wonderful home and property to share with visitors. Thank you!

This was hands down one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve ever had! The home was absolutely amazing! The views were breathtaking and honestly the pictures don’t do them justice. They are even better in person! The house was exactly as listed and looked just like the photos, but somehow even better in person. The location was a 10 out of 10. Peaceful, beautiful and perfectly located for everything we wanted to do. The amenities were top notch: a private pool, a relaxing hot tub, mini golf and a super fun game room with an arcade game we couldn’t stop playing. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, dishes, cookware, utensils, it truly felt like a home away from home! On top of all that, the hosts were fantastic! They were responsive, welcoming and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared and it made our trip so comfortable and memorable. We can’t wait to come back! Highly, highly recommend!

Great hosts. Great place. Great location. There’s so much do to here and it’s so close to other popular surrounding areas. Didn’t wanna go home. Our family’s 3rd go around at this location with Leavetown as our host and they haven’t disappointed.

This was a perfect place for our sister weekend. We were able to relax our whole stay! The staff at the resort were all so kind and checked on us each day.

We had a wonderful stay! We really enjoyed the saltwater pool and hot tub. The location was perfect, offering a lot of privacy. The house was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. It would be difficult to find a place so close to one of the biggest cities in the country, yet at the same time feel like you have a view of nature as far as you can see. During our stay we saw deer, armadillos and foxes. We enjoyed the spacious rooms and split layout. Thank you!

El Sol was the perfect place for our little getaway! It was clean, cute and cozy, the perfect spot for my husband and I. I liked that it was located just close enough to town without it being a long drive, but also tucked away enough to be away from the city. We saw 5 deer on the property during our stay! All in all El Sol made our trip a great one and we can’t wait to come back!

Great place! This is exactly the perfect spot if you wanted to get away and did not have any plans. It was very peaceful. The trail was empty when we arrived but had a lot of water the next day. There was a hot tub that was available and it was wonderful. Sean and Ren were great hosts.

I could not express how satisfied we were to stay at this beautiful place. From beginning to end, we could see ourselves coming back when we decide to visit this area.

This is our second stay at The Moonshiner and it has, again, been a pleasant retreat. The hot tub was clean and operated fine, they left us supplies for the fire pit (though, regrettably, we didn't light the pit,) and some champagne for our anniversary! Very cool and thoughtful. There were deer feeding in the wild right beside our front door as it is private and quiet, away from neighbors and the busy road. Also, the decor and vibe of the place is fun and unique! Awesome weekend getaway and exactly as advertised. Rare combination of history and modernity - you can picture yourself in the 1800s and then hop in the AC! We went to celebrate a birthday and found David’s place to be perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the goats, the local plums and goat cheese, and just wish we had more time to explore the area! Highly recommend for couples looking to escape for a weekend. David was friendly and informative. He lives on part of the property but you still feel secluded and private.

Location was great. Cabin was beautiful. Pool was awesome! We had a great time and Gabriel was very responsive.

My family and I loved staying at this cozy home nestled into the beautiful nature of the Texas Hill Country. Pulling in felt like arriving at a private resort, and we all enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs on the deck to watch the stunning sunset. Our kids loved playing in the perfect sized pool, and the adults loved the experience of relaxing in the sauna while listening to the birds sing outside. The retro arcade cabinet was a huge hit with the kids (and with me, I’ll admit), and we enjoyed watching a family movie on the projector screen upstairs (the kids felt like they were in a private movie theatre). Maria and Larry are incredibly welcoming and proactive hosts; if you need anything at all, they won’t hesitate to help. I could not recommend this place higher, and we definitely will be coming back!
