Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Columbia River

Cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had staying at Rivers Retreat. It truly is a magical place right next to the Washougal River where you are surrounded by nature and can hear the peaceful river below. The hosts are more than helpful and we were grateful for their recommendations. We enjoyed watching the bald eagles and relaxing by the bonfire. The indoor space was very well kept and full of amenities. We will definitely return for another stay if ever in the area.

This is the 3rd time I stayed here. I travel to Vancouver for work, this rental is walking distance to work and an easy walk to restaurants, groceries and the drug store. Several walking paths are nearby and the location is private and quiet.

We loved our four night stay here while exploring Portland and the Columbia River Gorge area. Since we were driving the parking in a safe garage was priceless to us. The apartment had everything we needed, including washer/dryer that we really needed at the tail end of a long roadtrip. The view from the apartment was beautiful and it felt really nice getting back to the apartment after a whole day of outing. We'll definitely stay here again on our next visit to Portland.

Airbnb was in a great central walkable location. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Couple of handy good to know: exit main entrance go left, make left at corner, walk to next corner there is a good convenience store or make the left and 1/2 down the block is a bakery (Macarina) delicious for coffee or light breakfast/lunch. Room itself is basic in decor and furniture. Most importantly the bed was very comfortable and bathroom clean and worked well. The unit had everything we needed nice refrigerator, coffee maker and wash /dryer. The building itself had very nice amenities for a city apartment and security at the front desk. We never felt unsafe walking the area. We Had some of the best communication before and during the stay from the host that we have ever received.

Nate and Candace's place was just as described. We needed a place for 3 of us to stay while visiting elderly in-laws who don't have guest space. This was so much nicer and more flexible than a comparably priced hotel room. The park across the street is a nice outdoor space. Parking was super easy right in front of the house. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future. Thank you!

THe apartment exceeded expectations. It was so spacious, sunny and with a great view of the water. The building was grand and very quiet. It was also near the town of Sidney and ferries going to multiple places. My mother and I both had a wonderful time staying here. Neighbors we met were friendly. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the light change on the water and enjoy the lovely weather we had all week. We were only sorry to leave when it was time to go home!

This place is perfect for the city. You have access to all of the “things” and can easily hop on scooters or walk to whatever you need within 10 minute span. The home is sleek and had a great common area to watch tv and the sunset.

My stay at Lyle’s place was really great! The apartment was impressively clean and cozy, with thoughtful touches like umbrellas by the door and a Brita filter that made the stay feel extra welcoming. Communication with Lyle was friendly and responsive even though we didn’t chat much, whenever I had questions, he got back to me fast. The location was fantastic, with an open window that gave a lovely view of the Space Needle and the Seattle vibe. It felt safe and convenient, which made relaxing easy. The place was comfortable overall, though the pull-out couch wasn’t the comfiest spot to sleep on. Also, the TV was a bit small and tricky to use, but that might have been on us! The listing was accurate, matching what I expected from the photos. I’d definitely recommend this place and would stay here again — it was worth the money, and those small quirks didn’t take away from an otherwise great experience. Easily a 5 star experience.

My group (4 adults) had a fantastic stay at Wayne's apartment. The apartment was spacious, well equipped (women's hygiene products, bathrobes, etc.), and very centrally located. Wayne was also very helpful in fulfilling a few of our requests such as providing us with a fan and an early check in. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable, central place to stay in Victoria.

This was hands down the nicest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. The location is perfect and the condo is quiet, clean, and safe. Raj was super helpful and very communicative throughout (as well as before and after!) the process. 10/10 would recommend.

Ken's place was a great place to stay. Close to all amenities. Check-in was a breeze and he was very helpful with any questions I had.

The location was perfect! On the waterfront and close to everything. The hosts allowed us to check in early and were very responsive. The condo had everything we needed and was very nicely decorated!

Wonderful location with was walking distance from Seattle center and the pier. Our daughter loved the pool as well!

Jing was a great host! She was able to accompdate us for early check in! Could not have asked for a better host! The space was clean and tidy, had wifi, and had a killer view of the Space Needle. There was also a washer/dryer and a portable AC unit. Complimentary Hi Chew and water was also a nice touch. The only other accomodation we could have wanted was place to hang out clothes. Not a big deal, but just a convenience. The place was about a 5 min walk to the Space Needle/Chihuly and a 15-20 min walk to Pike's. Having a parking space was key in the city. The parking space was tight and small, but was in a remote accessed garage and felt secure. Had a great time and stay in Seattle. We would certainly stay here again next time we visit!

Loved this place and have stayed at this complex a few time's. Everything was very clean and equipped with all of our need's. The train is constant but is hardly audible as the soundproofing of the building is solid. The view is drop dead gorgeous. The pool is everything and we seemed to have it all to ourselves! Thank you.

Had a wonderful trip with my parents at David's place. The house is located in a nice and quiet community, equipped with all the amenities for short-term and long-term living. Feels like home. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning a leisure trip to the SEA area.

We really enjoyed David’s house, which was clean, uncluttered, comfortable and beautiful, with beautiful views. David was very responsive with messages, and helpful with information about what might be happening in the area, and gave great suggestions for restaurants. Our vacation was even better than we’d planned because of David’s knowledgeable tips.

We enjoyed our stay here! We booked it to explore Seattle two days before we got on the cruise ship! It is very close to the cruise terminal! We would stay here again!

The whole family was impressed with the location. It was simply beautiful, with the ocean only a few steps away from the back door. We saw eagles almost every day while we relaxed on the patio, and being from the midwest we all got a kick from observing the tide come in and out. It was also a great location as a home base to drive around and see the sights. The house is about an hour north of Seattle, an easy drive. We also took a day trip to Vancouver, which was one of the nicest cities we've ever visited. The house itself was clean and had everything you might need. Even the mattress was a pleasant surprise, my bad back never bothered me, which is unusual when I travel. Highlights included a wonderful whale watching excursion we took from a town called Anacortes, about 40 mins north of the house. We followed a pod of Orcas for about an hour and a half and had a blast. I also recommend the Flying Heritage and Combat Armor museum in Everett. It has an amazing collection.

We had a great time at Anna's house and immediately felt right at home. It had everything we needed. It felt perfectly secluded and private in spite of the neighborhood being relatively dense. The view of the lake was beautiful. We appreciated the house's proximity to Bellingham and the area's sprawling mountain bike trails. Grateful for our time there!

Relaxed and beautiful location for our family of 3 plus dog. The trek from the house to the beach was, fast and easy with the paddleboards - even the dog enjoyed being out on the water! Lots of room to hangout and have fun. The karaoke battle was pretty epic! Thanks Mike & Eva!

We really enjoyed our stay! The Airbnb's location was perfect for town access, and the large fenced yard was a huge hit with our dogs, giving them plenty of space to play. The living room was super comfy too! Our host was outstanding – incredibly nice, responsive, and thoughtful, even leaving us a lovely anniversary basket! Just a heads-up for future guests: The beds weren't the most comfortable we've ever had and the dog training area is right in front of the house. You can see and hear daily training sessions through the fence, which could be a bit challenging for reactive or easily startled dogs. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would recommend it!
