MAINHOLM LODGE - Roxburgh Suite

A beautiful retreat, wish we had more time in this cosy and historical home. It was lovely meeting the host who was extremely hospitable and stayed up to receive us personally, gave a tour of the house, and even shared about its history. The rooms were comfortable and housed artefacts from the past, albeit a few bugs, which is normal for a farmland. All in all a pleasant and memorable stay!

We had a fabulous stay at Bruce’s Alpaca farm. It was magical experience to live next to all the farm animals. Our hosts Kim and Katee are such wonderful people allowed us to feed and touch the animals. Tiny house had all amenities required for a comfortable stay. This retreat is highly recommended.

Mainholm Lodge - Antoinette Room

Wow this place was fantastic! The house and grounds were beautiful. Our room was gorgeous and Verne was a great host. We had a great nights sleep here, it was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast the next morning was outstanding. We highly recommend this place to everyone travelling throughout the area. Such a special stop over.

Loved staying at Lynne’s place. Such a treasure to meet her and Fred. Loved our accommodation and looking at the other stone cottage. Watches the bees on the lavander plants as we had dinner. Felt so at home and welcomed. Would come again when back in NZ.

Liz's place was so lovely and peaceful! and she is the best host. helped us sort out our dinner plans and left us home made raspberry and yogurt for breakfast, it was out of this world. The house is so charming and cozy, warmed up quickly. Views are beautiful. we loved our stay in Middlemarch, at the end of a long bike ride it was the perfect place to relax!

It was a brief one night stopover for us but we found the Fern and Thistle to be charming and comfortable. Darryn and Sandy were there to greet us and show us around. They were very friendly and welcoming and very happy to give suggestions for a place to get dinner (we had a wonderful dinner at an Indian restaurant in town). Our room was spacious and well appointed complete with fresh flowers and delicious chocolate biscuits. We enjoyed the continental breakfast before getting on our way. It was a great stay and we would definitely come back again.
