Additionally, our home is in close proximity to the Stonewall Jackson WMA, which offers 18,000 acres of public land for hunting and fishing. Stay in the masterfully crafted Lemuel Chenoweth homestead along the rippling Tygart river. Built in 1857, this 2nd floor suite offers antiques furnishings, a private entrance, master bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and mud room. It has a queen bed, dresser, large porch with views of the river, a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, toilet, and a well stocked farmhouse kitchenette with a double induction cook top, sink , fridge and more. The chalet is conveniently located one mile from Summersville Lake (Battle Run Recreation Area), 22-miles from the New River Gorge National Park, and four miles from the Upper Gauley River rafting and kayaking put-in.

Christine's Cottage

Two-bedroom country cottage. You get the entire home, includes a full-kitchen, fire pit, and only yards away from the Elk river. Also has a front/back porch, and close to a swinging bridge that cuts over the river to walk to town! We are located 50 minutes to an hour from the Snowshoe ski resort, Summersville lake, and The Cherry Hills country club in Richwood. Pet friendly.
