Vacation rentals with a kayak in Cherokee County

The place was amazing. So much room for the kids and so much to do. Walk to the dock on the lake. The game room was amazing! Pool table, games, arcade, gaming console, books, foosball , shuffleboard. So much for the kids to do. We were there for baseball tournament at Lake Point Sports Complex. Great location! Julia was a wonderful host. Very responsive.

This lake house is spacious and stunning with incredible views. Do not hesitate to book this place for your next retreat or vacation. The main bedroom is on the first floor thus private and quiet. The remaining bedrooms are on the second and bottom floor so if everyone else decided to stay up late talking and playing ping pong or billiards - the top floor still remained very quiet. The house was roomy enough for our large family but with an intimate feel. It felt like three separate apartments - yet as a family we gathered on the many porches for conversation and fun times. Our favorite was the screened-in porch on the first floor with the swinging day bed. I’m pretty sure we all took a turn napping on that porch. WE LOVED EVERYTHING! Slone went above and beyond to answer questions, give directions and offer suggestions. She was always pleasant and happy to help in any way we needed. We hope to return again soon for another family gathering.

Rob’s home had all the listed amenities, great lighting and very nice furniture inside. It felt just like a home. Our kids enjoyed playing the arcade game while we enjoyed relaxing. We didn’t even get a chance to try the hot tub which looked great

Very beautiful place! Rob would quickly respond to any questions we had. The lake was beautiful. Deer was in abundance several times a day and they would just look at you. It was very peaceful. The house was spacious and set up very nice. There were some utensil issues but we went and bought some. The drawers in the cabinets were a bit dirty but no more than what they get like at home. A good swipe with a wet rag and they were good. Would love to go back. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking things.

First off, Betsey and Scott were wonderful hosts and exceptionally accommodating! The home is perfect for a larger group that prefers a fantastic and upscale layout mixed with a tranquil setting. Can't thank them enough, and if our travels lead us to greater Atlanta again, we know where we'll stay!

My friends and I had an amazing staycation! We had a great time kayaking, relaxing in the hot tub, and enjoying the pool. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The host’s communication was prompt and seamless. We’ll definitely be back!

Tom was very accommodating. The house had all accessories and spices needed for our cooking needs. The BBQ grill was definitely a plus as well as the game room upstairs. The house felt like home

we needed a place to stay for the weekend while attending a wedding in the neighborhood and this place was perfect for us, our grown kids and parents. coffee at the dock in the mornings while watching all the deer walk around was a great bonus. Allison was super responsive to messages and made sure we didn't need anything. it's a great house in a great spot on the lake.

We had a great time on our impromptu trip to the lake. The house was clean and the sunsets were beautiful from the dock.

This was our second stay at the Architect’s Cottage. It was as peaceful and calm this time as before. The deck and lake are our favorite things but inside the house is great too: clean and cozy and beautifully appointed with unique furnishings, art and lighting. We had a great stay at this Airbnb! The property was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The price was excellent for the amenities provided, and the location worked out perfectly for us. The host was incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive to all our messages, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. We would definitely book this place again and will be recommending it to our family and friends. Highly recommend!

This is a great little house close to the lake for a getaway. The beach area was really quiet during our stay and is a short walk from the house. Just be warned, it is down a path with a section that is fairly steep, so may be difficult to carry all your lake gear to. The house was very clean and well stocked including a range of toys for multiple age groups which was a huge amenity. My only critique is the upstairs air conditioner (located in the master bedroom for the whole upstairs) did struggle a bit to keep up with it being hot and humid. The second bedroom was a little warm even with the box fan provided. Overall though, this was a great vacation getaway rental.

Chris was a delightful host. Kind, responsive and helpful! The home was super clean and well appointed. We so enjoyed the amazing views and the hot tub and our grand children loved playing “corn bag” as they called it. There are some steep stairs to the basement recreation area but they have taken great care to have handles where needed and reminders to watch your step. I appreciated all the instruction qr codes and little printed framed signs to help guests. We look forward to returning.

The cabin was even better in person, Donna went above and beyond and made us feel so welcomed. The walk around the neighborhood was beautiful and the neighbors were all very friendly. There is a nice view of the river and the atmosphere was so cozy and peaceful. We will be bookmarking for future visits for sure!

This house was amazing! Beyond our expectations. Every detail had been thought of. The family loved the billiard table and there was so much room everyone was able to have their own private space. The sheets and towels were top of the line and matched everything else in the house. The kitchen had every appliance you could think of. We will definitely come back and refer our friends.

This cabin was a great find. We stayed here for the weekend and it didn’t disappoint. Private lot, play structure for kids and even some toys for them to play with. I will say that I do recommend taking a truck or suv. The road to the cabin is a little bumpy and unpaved but we had no trouble getting to the cabin. We would definitely stay again if we travel back to Ellijay!

WOW such a great escape from the city with our family and friends. Being able to play, eat, and just have a cup of coffee outside and listen to the sounds of the river was so peaceful. Chelsea did everything possible to make our trip great- including ordering fishing rods and a tackle box so my young son could experience fishing for the first time. Also the Blackstone grill was a huge surprise for us and we used it to grill almost every meal!

This was the most peaceful getaway that my family has had in 3 years. It was everything that was described. The kitchen has everything needed, which is hard to come by. Super comfortable beds. Very nice bathrooms. Everything was very, very clean. We fished, kayaked, and swam in the river. Made s’mores almost every night in the big fire pit outside. My kids really enjoyed swimming in the cold water then jumping in the hot tub to warm up. The views were spectacular. We had deer around us constantly and we got to see a bear which was very neat. We hiked nearby trails and saw some beautiful waterfalls. We visited blue ridge for a day and had lunch. It was just a great stay and everything we needed! Thanks again!

This was our 2nd stay and it was even better the 2nd time. Pool is amazing, lots to do in the basement. Our grandkids enjoyed the watch tower, the pool, and all of the fun things to do in the basement. Lots of variety for the different ages. Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. Plenty of room for everyone. Enjoyed grilling out. You never have to leave the house as it has everything you need. We chose to go into town for dinner at The Roof and it was great food with great view of the mountains. We look forward to returning next year!
