I was looking for a glamorous cabin in the woods, and this was it! All the things I love about the woods but also luxuries like speedy WiFi, air conditioning, exceptional cleanliness, and the comfort of an up-to-date space. I traveled with my two young daughters (3 and 5 years old), and it felt so very safe. In addition to the lovely deck with the grill, table, and awning, there was a little trail behind the fire pit to explore and look for salamanders! The home is surrounded by mountain laurels, which was the nicest touch for this trio of explorers. Of special note: Frederick emailed the code to get into the house, which was a lifesaver when I arrived and realized I had no cell reception- but I had what I needed because of his foresight. Not to mention, the device for unlocking the door was a delight to use. Overall, I couldn't love this place more - would absolutely come again if Frederick would have us.

We had a great stay. The house had plenty of room for our family of 4 plus a dog. Not fancy but pretty clean inside. The property is in a quiet and private area and protected from adjacent properties by woods. Not a ton of space outside for walking or outdoor activities but there are plenty of trails and state parks nearby. We loved the convenience of being close to town and about a mile from a grocery store. We'd love to come back in the fall!

Elegant farmhouse with dog park and pirate ship!

I was thrilled to locate a rental with an enclosed yard for my dog so close to the Pine Creek Rail Trail. It is an easy cruise to multiple access points for the trail. There is also a great dog park on the property for the pup to make new friends. We appreciated having the grocery store within walking distance. In fact, the town itself is within a couple miles of easy walking. However, there is a good half mile stretch of shoulder walking before the town's sidewalks begin which may not make it walkable for some people. The home itself is comfortable and very conducive to relaxing evenings after trail wanderings. The full kitchen, laundry, back deck, reading nook, and living area were well used. This is a perfect spot for humans and pets to enjoy a visit to PA's "Grand Canyon".
