Cottage vacation rentals in Celorico de Basto

This house is in the most STUNNING location with AMAZING views. We arrived early hours and Tiago was more than helpful at this time. We were told of the house’s rich religious history which is reflected in the artwork and decor of the house. 7 of us stayed for 8 days 2 couples and 3 teens More than enough space for everyone to have their own privacy and more than enough room for 10 people. The grounds had fig, Apple and lemon trees which we were told we are more than welcome to use. Aldi and Lidl were a 15 minute drive (we rented a car) which was perfect for evening barbecues (huge wood oven outside as well as small grills) The pool was stunning, we spent most days in there from morning till night. It’s a great size and easy to shade with umbrellas if needed. We left our inflatables there for the next person, which someone had also done before we arrived, which was a nice touch. We can’t thank Tiago enough for an amazing 8days. Will defo visit again

Die Unterkunft ist einfach grandios. Es ist mitten in der Natur, sehr ruhig und sehr naturnahe. Man hört die Vögel, das Wasser. Es ist einfach ein magischer Ort und perfekt um bei sich anzukommen oder die Ruhe zu genießen. Ich habe es geliebt am Wasser zu meditieren oder Yoga zu machen. Ich würde jederzeit wieder kommen. Vielen Dank für die schönen Tage.

We hebben samen met onze 2 kinderen van 4 en bijna 1 een geweldige week gehad. De faciliteiten zijn Top, Manuela staat altijd klaar om te helpen en de wijn is fantastisch. 2 zeer bevlogen en lieve mensen die er een prachtige plek van hebben gemaakt. De gastvrijheid maakte het nog mooier. En Caramello was meestal ook erg gezellig.

Beautiful house, amazing private location above a lake. Very relaxing being immersed in nature. House well kitted out and lovely features. We took our paddleboard and wonderful paddle boarding on the lake. Children loved the swimming and the ‘cold tub’ plunge pool. Thankyou Gerrit and Grace, we hope to return.

Pasamos catro días fantásticos na casa de Esmeralda! Está nunha aldea preciosa e ben comunicada: a unha hora de Vigo e moi perto de Paredes de Coura, Ponte de Lima ou Arcos de Valdevez. A casa, de arquitectura tradicional, está moi ben restaurada. É bonita e confortable, ben decorada, cun bo baño e todo tipo de aparellos e utensilios para cociñar. O colchón e as almofadas son cómodas e a roupa de cama e as toallas son prefectas. O xardín e bonito e conta con tumbonas, mesas e cadeiras para gozar tamén do exterior. Esmeralda foi simpática e educada. Voltaremos seguro!

Wenn du im Paradies Urlaub machen möchtest, gehe zu Silvio. Er hat einen wundervollen Ort geschaffen. Traumhafter Garten, es fehlt einem an nichts. Alles perfekt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Sitio calmo e relaxante. Passamos um fim de semana muito bom na casa Alambique com acesso a piscina. Fizemos um passeio a cavalo que gostamos muito. Tbm usamos o campo de padel. Comunicação facil com a host Georgina, sempre muito acessivel. obrigado!

Wonderful stay here for 5 days. Helena was quick and responsive throughout. When I arrived, I met Paula, Sofia, Martinho and Francisco who welcomed and showed me the house and area. So generous to offer me a bottle of wine, water, biscuits on my arrival. The house is cozy and peaceful with a view of the farm where the sheep roam during the day. Comfortable bed, linen and beautiful antique decor to keep with the theme. Kitchen has a small fridge, kettle, microwave and stove. Beautiful spaces to walk and rest under fruit trees, 2 swimming pools in a peaceful natural setting. Even my cat, Samson enjoyed it. For company, we also had a cute friendly dog, Nina. It is a short drive to centre of Fafe, a lovely town with charming architecture. Helena provided useful recommendations on what to do and where to go. Guimaraes is a beautiful place, only 20 minutes from the house. All in all, a great stay and I'm happy to revisit one day again. Thanks for a great stay!

Amazing place. We've spent a month there and everything was perfect. Nuno is very helpful and a friendly host. The place itself was above all of our expectations: fantastic view, super clean and comfortable. Felt right like home.

Excellent séjour ! Leonel est un hôte charmant et attentif au bien-être de ses locataires. La maison est agréable, confortable et bien équipée. Elle est située dans un hameau très calme avec une vue magnifique sur toute la vallée. Il faut aimer la campagne, les chats et les chiens. Un petit réservoir à l'arrière de la maison sert de piscine naturelle pendant l'été. L'altitude permet des nuits fraîches. Location d'une voiture indispensable pour arriver chez Leonel et rayonner dans la région qui est magnifique. Je recommande sans hésitation cette location aux gens qui cherchent à passer des vacances tranquilles au coeur du Haut Douro dans un cadre authentique loin du tourisme de masse. Merci Leonel :-)

Amélia and Joa treated us as extended family who came to visit, making it an immersive European experience :) They were comfortable with us exploring the property, they shared their cistern pool with us, their son showed off for our daughter, they offered us fruit popsicles and herbs for tea - their openness added value to our experience beyond the lovely back patio for dining and cute doggy Amy who always greeted us.

Alice est une hôte très accueillante et disponible. Nous voulions un endroit au calme dans la nature et nous n'avons pas été déçus. Juste dommage que la météo n'ai pas été au rendez-vous ce qui ne nous a pas permis de profiter de ce bel endroit en pleine nature. La prochaine fois nous reviendrons en été.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la Casa Eira. Le logement correspondait parfaitement aux photos. L'environnement est calme et paisible. Idéal pour déconnecter et se reposer. Nous avons adoré. Les propriétaires sont très réactifs et viennent en aide au moindre souci. Nous recommandons et nous reviendrons.

Casa muito agradável para passar uns dias de descanso. Nas redondezas podemos facilmente encontrar sítios para fazer caminhadas e existe uma vila perto caso seja preciso algo do supermercado. Importante ressalvar que a piscina é muito boa com boas condições mas encontra-se um pouco afastada da casa nr. 2 que foi a que ficamos.

Gostamos muito da estadia, o local é fantástico e as comodidades do espaço muito boas. O anfitrião é muito amável e responsivo. Paisagem fantástica, local calmo e relaxante. Haveremos de voltar para estadia mais longa.

Situé à flanc de montagne, le gite , petit, est entouré d'un immense terrain arboré , fleuri où nous avons été accueilli avec bienveillance et gentillesse . La communication avec Ian , anglais d'origine, a été extrêmement fluide . Celorico de Basto forme avec Modim de Basto un ensemble de deux villes complémentaires, l'une moderne , l'autre plus traditionnelle . Notre séjour d'une semaine n'a pas suffi à épuiser les richesses de la région , encore épargnée par le tourisme de masse Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de ce séjour

A Hidden Gem in Nature! We had an unforgettable stay at this stunning farmhouse! The setting is absolutely serene—surrounded by lush greenery and fresh air. The highlight for us was definitely the natural water tank. It felt like our own private spring-fed pool—so refreshing and peaceful, especially in the mornings. The farmhouse itself is beautifully maintained, combining rustic charm with modern comforts. The interiors were cozy and spotless, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals. Waking up to the sound of birds and sipping coffee on the porch while looking out over the landscape was pure magic. Our host was warm, welcoming, and very responsive, offering great local tips and ensuring we had everything we needed. If you’re looking to disconnect from the hustle and reconnect with nature, this place is a dream. We can’t wait to return!

It was a great pleasure to spend the last week at Artur’s beautiful home. The house is architecturally designed, which a sophisticated blend of the original rustic stone walls combined with the best quality modern renovations. The setting very peaceful with a gorgeous pool with Baja shelf, a cooking area and loungers. All common areas of the house inside and out feature views of the mountains and surrounding villages. The home is well appointed. The kitchen has all the equipment needed for us to cook delicious Portuguese meals each night. The bedding is good quality and the home was well stocked. The furniture and sofa were good quality. Everything was spotlessly clean. We were hosted by Arthur, and Ana, who is a very friendly local lady that helped us check in. Both of them were proactive to ensure we were happy. My favorite part of the home is the hallway to the bedrooms, with la huge garden window and decorative lighting. Thank you to our hosts, we will be back!

Anfitriões muito simpáticos que nos receberam bem e sempre contactáveis. Casa muito acolhedora com 2 quartos e 2 WC’s, perfeito para uma família ou 2 casais e uma criança como foi no nosso caso e ainda com nosso cão que foi muito feliz aqui. Casa toda equipada, limpa com um espaço exterior para churrasco num lugar tranquilo para quem procura o sossego. Excelente para recuperar do stress da cidade. Com uma vista magnífica para o Monte da Senhora da Graça e Gerês. Acesso a uma piscina comum e um pequeno parque infantil. Ambiente verde e florido.

2.ª vez que frequentamos a casa e fomos novamente surpreendidos positivamente. Adoramos os dias que passamos lá, o espaço da piscina é espetacular, 5* para vários dias com os amigos. Apenas aconselho e colocarem uma arca frigorífica na casa, pois em dias de demasiado calor torna-se complicado ter as bebidas frescas, uma vez que o frigorifico é muito pequeno para o número de pessoas, fora isso tudo excelente.
