Vacation rentals with beach access in Cassowary

We stayed for 7 days as a base to tour PD, Daintree and surrounds with a hire car. The apartment is as pictured and was perfect for us. The location is hard to beat - in the centre of town and yet we found no noise issues. Carolyn was super communicative and a good resource for advice on booking trips to the reef. The apartment is part of a Mantra resort complex, which is the pool pictured. (Pool was great temp, well maintained and was usually quiet).

This apartment was perfect for a family holiday. Spacious, clean and well appointed with free parking on site too. The swimming pool with sandy beach area was a real bonus. The location was perfect to be able to walk into town or to 4 Mile Beach and we were given some excellent recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. Ian was very responsive to messages and instructions were clear. We highly recommend this apartment and think it’s the best we’ve stayed in so far.

Stephs place was a great place to stay. As described a cozy studio bedsit with amenities as listed. Walking distance to the Yorkeys Knob boating club and a great location for a game of golf at the Yorkeys Knob golf club - Half Moon Bay golf club. Clean and tidy. Enjoyed stay and would stay again. David and Morag were lovely to let us come a few hours early which made a big difference as we had an early flight. The place was as described and very clean. Access was easy and we saw David come and go around the resort so knew he was around which was nice. The only issue we had was that a kitchen cupboard door came off it's hinges when we were cleaning up but that was about it! We'll be back.

Me and my partner had a wonderful stay in Port Douglas, made better by the perfect accommodating nature of our host. Nadines place is tucked away on the corner of the main strip on the top floor to provide a beautiful view of the garden and sea. “Bella Vista” was the perfect choice to be right in the middle of all the goodness Port Douglas has to offer.

We had a fabulous 3 night stay at Shan’s place, and wish we had booked longer! Shan provided easy to follow information, and everything was exactly as described. Extremely clean and comfortable! A lot more spacious than we expected, and my border collie had lots of space to relax and enjoy the beautiful breeze on the balcony..he was very happy! The rain head shower was amazing!! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook or order in, with quality fittings. The location is perfect, and we felt very secure in this lovely building and surrounds. We had plenty of off street parking, which is a great help. We are definitely visiting again soon and highly recommend Shan’s place for a relaxing and comfy stay! Thanks Shan!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sonia’s and recommend it highly! The resort was beautiful. The unit had everything we needed. Linens on the bed and the bed itself were wonderful. We stayed a week so Sonia provided a linen change half way through our stay. Short drive into Port Douglas where we went on the best Great Barrier Reef tour on QuickSilver. Highly recommend a visit to the Wildlife Habitat right down the street. The walking tour at Mossman Gorge was a highlight of our stay.

Had a wonderful stay at Carmen’s residence in Cairns in early June. The residence is located about 25 minutes the airport by car as well as the center of town and the marina where you can catch boats for excursions. So, you’ll need to drive or rent a taxi/Uber. The house is located Inside a gated community estate and there’s a code that you’ll need to give any arriving taxis. The treehouse itself was absolutely gorgeous, with three floors, multiple rooms, a pool, and surrounded by lush greenery. It felt like we were in a forest! If you’re adventurous, you can even take a private path to the beach and nearby cafes—but be warned, it can be treacherous! Overall, this was a great find. And our hosts were proactive with messages and suggestions that were quite helpful. The only regret we have is that we didn’t get to spend MORE time here!

Staying at Butterfly bend was just amazing. Waking up in the middle of the rainforest is an amazing experience and so different to our usual city life. The creek at the bottom of the house was a great spot for the kids to explore a different part of the Daintree. Em was very helpful with local tips and experiences. We loved our stay.

The moment we arrived at Flame Trees we knew we had found ourselves at the best spot in the Daintree Rainforest. We just loved our stay (so much that we extended). The position and outlook was mesmerizing. Katya's home style was just delightful. It really did feel like a very special retreat. Every amenity needed was there plus so many more thoughtful touched. Katya's communication was excellent. It was fast and helpful with a cheerful feel. We loved our stay and couldn't wait to get home after each day's outing. We did not want to leave. Another brilliant stay at peaceful Coral Tides. This is our third and we live the accomodation so much. Everything is perfect including the setting, comfort snd presentation. The pool is a special bonus and hosts so welcoming. Thank you!

Thank you for an unforgettable stay, Jillian! Seascapes was such a peaceful place to be and my partner and I felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. I really appreciated all the little touches of home that you have made throughout the house. I had the best sleep of my life with the fresh air and soothing sounds of the rainforest, and it was just lovely to feel so isolated yet a short drive from some great attractions in the Daintree. Also, I need to buy myself a hammock now! I could have stayed in that hammock on the verandah with the ocean view for days on end haha. Thank you again for providing a welcome escape to nature.

What a wonderful airbnb!!! Perfect for our family, great set up, fully fenced for the dogs and my nephew. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, right across the beach. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a far North Queensland getaway without the Port Douglas hustle, bustle and price tag. Great location 5 minutes to Mossman and only 15 minutes to the centre of Port. Loved the pool and the house set up. Thank you Krystal 😊

I was there for five nights as a base to explore the Daintree Rainforest and the surrounding area. Lisa was very communicative and fast to answer emails. Self-checkin was a breeze, keys in a lockbox. The house had everything I needed for self-catering and laundry equipment was a real bonus after 2 1/2 weeks travelling. Close to a Woolworths and local attractions. Covered car parking and a covered verandah for outdoor seating. You can't go wrong here.

We had the best stay! The place is perfect for families, providing space to be together and to have your own peace and quiet. The surroundings are lush and the pool area was beautiful, we didn’t want to leave.

Palm cove is the perfect location for a holiday. Peter and Satina apartment is the perfect place to stay ground floor access to pool and all amenities. We will return.

A sprawling home with great views. Kitchen was fabulous. The bedrooms and bathrooms were top notch. The patio area had comfortable seating. Even though the place is a part of a small group of apartments, it felt totally private. Covered car park was a bonus. Hosts are super responsive and helpful. One reaches the place through two flights of narrow stairs. It may be difficult to carry large luggage or if you have mobility issues. Otherwise this is a dream vacation home

We had a really lovely time. Beautiful surroundings and facilities. A short drive the town centre. The space was child-friendly and large enough to accommodate our group of 7. Friendly and responsive host. Would stay there again and highly recommend!

Ideal location and very accessible (highly recommend for anyone using a wheelchair). Comfortable bed and great for a stay in Cairns. Lacking basic condiments (salt, pepper and oil) and basic supplies (garbage bags, tongs and chux)
