Lotus House was sensational! We were a family group ranging in ages from 17 months old to 67 years old , and the house and property were comfortable and suitable for all ages. We were thrilled to see papayas and bananas growing in the yard. The kitchen really is well equipped- we fell in love with the espresso machine. There are comfortable mattresses on all the beds and plenty of towels and bath supplies. The heated pool, hot tub, and grounds made being at home so much fun. Even when it was 56 degrees and raining we were in the pool, and it was still comfortable. The AL Acores management team was impressively responsive. We had a very minor plumbing issue which was fixed within hours. When we arrived there were diapers in the crib, which was very thoughtful, and when one of the kids needed to see a doctor, we got excellent advice and thoughtful followup check-ins. I've stayed in a lot of airbnbs, and this is definitely one of the best.

This location was absolutely perfect for touring around the island. The house was quiet and had amazing views. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable, entertained and relax. The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and items needed to cook and keep items fresh. Pilar was so kind and left snacks and drinks which we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated. She and her daughter we so kind and responsive. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time.

Nous sommes ravies de notre séjour passé dans la charmante maison de Véra. Chaque pièce est joliment décorée, typique, et l’on s’y sent tout de suite bien. Il y a tout l’équipement nécessaire, rien ne manque. La literie est très confortable et permet de bien récupérer après des journées passées à explorer cette superbe île. Le lieu est calme et paisible. Si vous vous posez quelques instants dans le jardin tout mignon, vous entendrez certainement au loin à la tombée de la nuit les grenouilles et les cagarros, dépaysement garanti. N’hésitez pas à venir vous ressourcer dans ce petit coin de paradis !

A great and unique place to stay! Beautifully maintained. Given the age of the house, the wind can be heard/felt on windy/stormy days. This takes some getting used to. Please know that the house is situated in a beautiful park, with keys to access the park after opening hours. On the lake you can use kayaks, and there are also kids bikes in the shed.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ana’s place in Ribeira Grande. The moment we stepped inside, it felt like we had entered a garden oasis tucked away behind the quiet charm of a small town. The landscaping is stunning, bursting with wildflowers and greenery that surround the pool and modern architecture in the most serene way. The highlight, however, was Cookie—the sweetest calico cat who made our mornings extra special with surprise visits. She quickly became the heart of the place for us! The location was perfect for our daily surf sessions at Praia do Monte Verde, just a short drive away. After a day in the waves, it was pure joy to return to the peace and beauty of the house. Thank you, Ana, for creating such a magical and tranquil retreat. We can’t wait to return!

One of my favorite places I've ever stayed. Spotless, spectacular views, central on harbor, small grocery shop two doors down. This high rise property is a rarity in Ponta Delgada The apartment is lovely, with every convenience considered, from sewing kits to notepads tucked into bedside drawers, chargers, umbrellas, games, music, the list goes on. Kitchen is well equipped, with lots of high quality cookware, plus cooking oil + basics like sugar + rice. Laundry works well. Parking included. Bruno is responsive and knowledgeable. He had great tips for the Azores. We did a family vacation with lots of hikes, surfing, hot springs etc. Would absolutely return.

Photos don’t do justice to this beautiful house and spacious property. It’s absolutely wonderful. Clean, comfortable. The host family lives on the property in a separate house and is so friendly. They answered all of our questions and helped us with anything we needed. The house is modern and beautiful. There’s a huge lawn and view of the ocean. This house is a gem. We loved everything about it.

Maria João and Ricardo were incredible hosts. The house is located in beautiful area with a nice view from the patio. It is much bigger than the photos suggest, absolutely immaculate & beautifully decorated. WiFi was strong enough for remote work. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and also walking distance to several good restaurants. The hosts left wonderful treats and recommendations for the island. You simply cannot go wrong booking this place. Definitely among the nicest airbnbs I have ever stayed in!
