Cabin vacation rentals in Cacapon River

This was a lovely stay! The house was clean (obsessed with the woody fresh smell of the pine) and had everything we could have needed. We even enjoyed stormy weather under the roof on the back deck!

This house is very well located for enjoying Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive, & Front Royal, VA. The northern most park entrance is a very short drive, & the town of Front Royal is also a short drive. The house was very comfortable for my family of eight adults and one grandchild plus dog. We convened there for a week for a family get together. You won’t be bored. Solomon has provided everything you could possibly want to have fun and relax, from the very nice outdoor hot tub, fire pit with chairs and the makings of s’mores, hammock, and corn hole game, to the downstairs game room with pool table, the extensive library, fireplaces and nice back porch with grill, table, chairs, & porch swing, etc.! The master bedroom is amazing, the downstairs bedroom is also very nice, both with en-suite bathrooms. The other two bedrooms are much smaller and share a bathroom although there is a half bath off the kitchen. It worked for us. We hated to see the week end! Would come back.

Lindsey is responsive and easy to communicate with. Cabin was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. If you are a motorcyclist, parking area by the cabin is leveled and easy to turn the bike around. Overall great experience.

We traveled with our 2 kids (2 and 4) and like others mentioned this listing has everything you could need! The listing even had step stools my 4 year old to reach the sink to wash her own hands. The hot tub was fantastic, extremely clean and comfortable. We visited Shenendoah National Park and it was a great home base. Definitely bring your groceries as it is a very secluded area and it’s a great space to cook grill, relax and reset ! Very comfortable, clean and organized!

We had a wonderful stay! The property was beautiful, exactly as pictured, clean, and thoughtfully maintained. The host was very responsive and made everything easy from check-in to check-out.

The cabin was remote and wonderful. My kids (7 and 9) had a great time between the toys, books, games and river fishing and space to play. We had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves, cook good meals, and enjoy our time together. We felt safe and the place was expertly cleaned. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent stay, everything was as described and the location is beautiful and very peaceful. Highly recommend, we plan to return. Topac was very responsive and helpful.

The first 10 minutes of our stay was just us walking around the house going “are you kidding me” between the view, the personal touches (down to the quirky cabinet handles!!), the record player/collection, having stuff for smores readily available for the fire pit, and the sunroom where my husband had to drag me out of the morning we left. The hosts were very responsive and friendly, we would definitely stay here again!

Super cute place just enough out of the way that you feel like you’ve escaped, but close enough to stores and conveniences in case you forgot to pack something. We enjoyed the fire pit and swing set most. Was able to let the pup off the leash, and I know he appreciated that. The hosts were extremely inviting and helpful. Would definitely stay here again

This was a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Gorgeous view overlooking the river! The place was well decorated and we loved listening to the rain on the skylights in the living room. The neighbors were a little closer than expected, but wasn’t really an issue. Power went out one night (area outage), and Alison was responsive and proactive to provide a location of various lamps and lights. We were already using the grill on the incredibly back deck, so we weren’t really inconvenienced by it. I do appreciate the host keeping us updated on power outage.

Hands down one of the best Airbnbs we ever been to! The cabin is loved and cared for, we felt right at home the second we walked in. Everything is very clean, stocked, and provided with thoughtful details to make your disconnect weekend truly great. Our dog had an absolute blast, running in the forest, chilling on the front porch, and sunbathing on the deck. It was so great, we didn’t want to venture anywhere else, so we don’t have recommendation on the surroundings. Absolutely coming back and bringing friends!

We had such a wonderful stay at Hawk’s Nest! It was exactly what we were looking for to have a quiet family getaway. The home was beautiful and the view was stunning. We had a couple of rainy days and it was so cool to watch the storms roll in over the landscape. Debbie and Steve were perfect hosts - they were always quick to respond and super friendly/thoughtful. Loved our stay here! GPS took us there no problems. Property was super clean and as described in description and pictures. Host is attentive and quick to respond. Enjoyed the hot tub and the peace and quiet of the woods. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our own meals. Bed was super comfy. Would highly recommend this property to others!

We had a fantastic stay at Levi’s place. The creek is clean and beautiful, Levi is very friendly and helpful, the cabin was very clean and neat and laid out as expected from the pictures. The front porch is a nice size. I loved hearing the stream in the evening and we all enjoyed the cows and horses in the field. It was not a problem at all but because we booked through Airbnb and had not checked out his outfitting site, I was not aware that there were also camping sites and it is possible you have will have RV’s and/or tent campers around you. We have a pop up ourselves so I don’t have a problem with that, but I wasn’t expecting it. We stayed mid week in April so only a couple camping sites were in use and weren’t next to us but I am sure it fills certain times of the year. Also, it is creek side but if there are paying fishers in the creek you need to be respectful of their space. We had a great time at the pond and appreciated the use of kayaks, paddle boat, and paddle board

Great place and a great value. Host was informative when needed and left us alone otherwise. Location was exactly as pictured and explained. The birds and critters in the morning on the deck was my favorite part at this location. I would highly recommend for future to anyone.

I had an amazing stay with my husband for our mini-honeymoon. The views were beautiful, the house was perfect, and the host was very responsive. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a private getaway!

Anthony was an amazing host and was so helpful in the communication process and booking and assisting us with all of our questions. This air b and b is absolutely beautiful and so much thought and intention put into the design and the surroundings in the woods added to the aura. The hot tub, sauna, and all the wonderful amenities made this getaway a dream. Such a comfortable bed and we had everything we needed. Thank you so much for hosting us we made many unforgettable memories at your gorgeous chalet!!

From the moment I set foot on the property my heart skipped a beat. Everything about our stay was a perfect. The cabin was clean and cozy. All the practical things comfortable bed, cold ac, hot shower, well stocked kitchen, comfy couch, big windows for taking in the peaceful surroundings and watching the bison. Getting into town was an easy 15min drive if you wish. But I never wanted to leave. I could not have wished for a better view of the bison. I watched them come out into the pasture every morning, sun bathe, munch on grass, roll in the dirt, and retire up the hill each evening. This was the most amazingly relaxing couple of days and more than I could have dreamed. I cannot wait to return.

We stayed for a quick half night on a trip further south. Very cool place, wish we had been able to spend more time there.

This was a wonderful mountainside retreat with breathtaking views. The house had so many fun amenities we never ran out of ways to keep ourselves entertained.

We felt right at home at this beautiful, comfortable cabin. We found it very clean with everything one would need and it's well organized. It is nicely updated, everything felt new. The master bed, pillows, and bedding were so comfortable! Loved the black out curtains as well. Outside was beautifully done too. The deck is gorgeous with lovely forest views. The fire pit was also nice to use in the evening. Doug was easy to communicate with and welcoming. I appreciate that our dog could join us on this trip too, she absolutely loved the place as well!

Our stay at Foxtrot Mokki was magical! Besides the sheer beauty of the property, the experience was seamless and made our vacation very relaxing. Definitely recommend exploring the amazing literature in the main bedroom! We enjoyed the luxurious, yet comfortable vibe of the home and would happily book again! Thank you to Tom & Geoff for being such wonderful hosts and for creating such a memorable experience for us.

Loved our time at this cabin and exploring the nearby small towns and state park! Private, clean, and beautifully decorated - would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away!
