A 10-minute drive takes you to the town of Milly-la-Forêt, which has exceptional bakeries, cheese / wine shops, and a famous market. A 20-minute drive takes you to other historical villages and castles, including Fontainebleau.

In the morning you will certainly have the chance to see wild boars or deer in the 3ha unenclosed wooded park that surrounds the cottage. A hiking trail runs along the property and allows hours of hiking away from civilization! Two other cottages are on the grounds sharing the children's playground.

The house rented is fully independent, with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 dining room and a large drawing room. It has its own linen, kitchenware and cutlery. Former outbuilding of the Château de Malesherbes which provided bread via a secret passage... Well, since then, unfortunately the secret passage has been blocked and has become our cellar... We are located on a long hiking trail close to the Buthiers Forest. You can rock in the hammock when you return from hiking, climbing, or cycling... If you want to meet up with 6 people, you can also book the other gîte "Le Repère des Crapahuteurs"
