Avalon on Bourbong was built in 1894 by renowned architect FH Faircloth for the local Sugar baron Robert Cran. We chose to rename it after our daughter Avalon as she is like sunshine entering the room, also respecting our local indigenous who endured less than ideal working conditions under Mr Cran.

My place is close to the city, Bargara beaches, Rum Distillery, Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, the River Feast Markets, Mon Rops turtle rookery and the best seafood restaurant on the river, where you can dine in or take away and take a cruise to the Port. You’ll love my place because of the location, so close to everything and no noisy traffic, it is very quiet. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. You really do need a car to get around. We do have Uber and Cabs.

Our gorgeous unit is straight in front of the Surf Life Savers at Kelly’s Beach. Around the corner is the Causeway swimming hole which is perfect if you like calm water. We are a beachfront unit with a lawn front and an undercover entertainment area. Last year you could see the whales from our balcony. The turtles lay their eggs on the beach out the front. This is the perfect spot to relax and not have to go far to see things. The cafes and shops are a stones throw away.

A perfect little beach rental. We stayed with our two small kids (3 and 1). The beds were comfy but more importantly for us heat-sensitive Victorians, the aircon was PERFECTION. It was also in every bedroom and the living area.

We had a great stay at Scott’s Airbnb! It was spacious, private, and in a lovely neighborhood, close to the shops. The girls loved the aircon and having plenty of room. We had a couple of small issues with the plumbing and beds, but Scott and his team fixed them within hours so fast! A few small suggestions: bath mats, extra towels, and a dish scrubber. Otherwise, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the kids loved using the air fryer. Overall, we had an amazing time and will definitely book again. Our family loved Bundaberg! ☀️
