“Stay here 100%! The location is outstanding. With a view of the major downtown area and water right underneath your feet, you really can't beat it. The beds are comfortable and everything was very clean. The breakfast is the best we've had in a long time, and with such lovely company. But the best part about our stay here was Kem :) Kind, attentive, incredibly helpful, fun, and knowledgeable; Kem's hospitality will bring a smile to anyone's face! You'll be so happy to have met such a lovely woman and to have stayed in such a unique and special place!”

“The location was very good even in the floating village, and it was convenient because there was a boat stand nearby. There were sightseeing spots and souvenir shops close to the land from the boat platform and on the land. The balcony is also fashionable and you can enjoy the view at night. Hosts are very unique, caring, and very knowledgeable about tourist destinations, so they can be very helpful. The shower room and toilets were also clean and very easy to use. In the morning, the host cooked the breakfast and I was able to experience a life that you can only taste there”

“What a wonderfully well appointed tiny house, and a welcome break under the current circumstances. Set back from the main road, you’d hardly know that a major thoroughfare was just a couple of hundred meters away. Close to shops and eateries, we did not utilise any of them since we brought our own food to cook up on the BBQ. It honestly felt like we were not in Brunei anymore, which was a welcomed feeling for all. Security of the location was excellent, with Shahid and his family living on site, and our host Chris a few minutes away. Chris was the ever gracious host, lending us his Echo to play some tunes throughout the evening, as well as spending some time talking to us about the history of Whistler Lodge, as well as the compound that the tiny house is located within. The BBQ was fantastic, with just a small token of appreciation for Shahid to take care of it for us. The internet was fast, the shower was hot and full pressured, and the kitchenette was big enough for us to putter around. The polished concrete floors were extremely comfortable to walk around barefooted, and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning was exceptionally cold too. Only note was the ladder to get to the mezzanine level as well as the top floor to get to bed, so this is unfortunately a house for those whom are not mobility impaired. Communication between Chris, Shahid, and our party was excellent, and I had asked if there was a microwave available in the kitchenette, and space for ice in the freezer, and within an hour or so a message came back that they had furnished a microwave as well as ice for us in the freezer. Overall, we’ll be back in the future, and thank you once again to Chris, Shahid and his family, as well as the staff that were around.”
