Welcome to Bob's Place! Located along the Bagaduce River in Brooksville, Maine. This cozy getaway overlooks a blueberry field and the Bagaduce River with Blue Hill Mountain as a backdrop. The entire home has been newly renovated - kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and decks. Explore the Lobster Capitol of the World (20 minutes), hike Acadia National Park (60 minutes), or sit and relax on the back porch, taking in the serene Maine landscape and wildlife, including White-tailed Deer and Bald Eagles.

Charming Farmhouse, Brooksville, ME

Herrick Rd. is a beautiful 1900 farmhouse with a very simple, back to basic style. The house looks over Walker Pond (across the street) and echoes wonderful songs of the loon in the mornings. The house has all the basics you will need, and a fully equipped kitchen, including Lobster pots for the stove or outdoor fire pit. There is s gas grill as well. The kitchen stove is an old 3 burner gas unit. It is very basic and very simple to use. There is also a microwave and coffee makers.

We are located very close to historic Castine and Maine Maritime Academy, and about one hours drive from Acadia National Park.

HENRY POINT - Charming, Great Kayaking

Enjoy a visit to the Blue Hill Peninsula with a stay at Henry Point, a charming little cottage nestled beside the Bagaduce River, a scenic tidal river emptying into Penobscot Bay, known for its diverse wildlife habitat. The beach, a combination of sand, rocks, and seaweed, is accessed by a convenient board walkway. Guests enjoy easy water access for kayaking directly from the beach. Saturday to Saturday. A dog is permitted with prior approval.

Coastal village. Rabbitrock Retreat is located towards the end of a dirt road among wildflower meadows and apple trees, quiet except for the sound of birds and distant church bells. It is named after a local landmark Rabbit Rock that exists in the woods near our house, known only by select locals who used to say you could “always catch a rabbit at Rabbit Rock”. It is a place of abundance for sure, and we are happy to get to share it.
