Vacation rentals in Brie-sous-Chalais

We loved our holiday at Maison des Abeilles. We were there with our family, including 3 grandchildren aged 9, 7 and 5 months. The house is a good family house, comfortable, very well equipped and welcoming. The kitchen and bathrooms are a little dated but all is clean, the beds are very comfortable with nice linen. The two covered terraces, one facing east, the other west, with dining tables and chairs are great. The garden is spacious and private, the heated pool, approx 12x6m, is perfect. Nearby, beautiful Aubeterre sur Dronne is a lovely village. The local area is rural, unspoilt and very peaceful. We enjoyed some local walks from the house. There was an issue with the drains during our stay. Chris responded immediately and quickly arranged appropriate help. All was sorted quickly. We would happily return.

Our stay at Camille's went very well. The house is secluded and so it is quiet, but allows walks and swimming, visits (Aubeterre sur Dronne), shopping easily, on foot or within 15 minutes by car. We were 3 families with 4 children from 3 to 7 years old, who were able to find plenty to play and have fun in the large house and garden. Easy to park also thanks to the parking (4 cars fit easily). The beautifully renovated house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a large "mezzanine" with 2 single beds and 1 sofa bed. Be careful upstairs, if you can't bend down, there are big beams that are quite low. Camille and Benjamin will be good tips and very responsive if you need them, they are just next door :)

Our experience at this cottage was simply spectacular! The property is stunning, a real gem. The view of the vineyards is sensational, providing a picturesque and relaxing setting. The house is very modern and equipped with everything top-notch, offering comfort. We felt we were at home. The hosts were extremely helpful and polite, always available and with genuine care (the wines from their winery are very good! Have a tasting), which made all the difference. Point to Note (Bathroom Privacy): it is important to note that it appears to be a French standard, that not all suites have a private bathroom inside the room, which can affect privacy. For a house that accommodates 6 people, having only one toilet with a toilet for the whole house can be challenging. Ideally, for the comfort of the house, it would be great to have at least two full bathrooms (shower, sink and toilet). Despite this observation, the overall experience was incredible and unforgettable. I highly recommend

We had a wonderful week in St Quentin de Chalais. Pat and Yvonne gave us a very warm welcome to their beautiful farmhouse, along with a generous French welcome pack. The pool was fantastic, and the house and stunning location exceeded our expectations. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed, including a charcoal bbq which we enjoyed using, and our privacy was entirely respected, while we also felt our hosts were at hand to help should we have needed anything. Within 20 minutes of the rural location of the farmhouse are quite a few beautiful villages, with plenty of bakeries for your croissant and coffee every morning..Aubeterre, Chalais, Bonnes, St. Aulaye, La Roche Chalais, Ribérac. We have returned home refreshed with wonderful memories of a special week. Thank you.

Our stay at the Gîte du Manoir Gabard leaves us a memory full of nostalgia! What a great experience! The places are full of charm with a comfortable and simple interior where you can feel good, splendid exteriors. We loved enjoying the swimming pool and jacuzzi carefully prepared by Jacques for our stay. The country environment is sublime, the horses, the chickens and the dog of the estate are always present and contribute to the charm. Jacques is a quality host, great, endearing, who loves to receive and please. We felt it like nowhere else in our travels. He takes great care of his estate and his guests. We will definitely be back Jacques. A big thank you!

Our stay was great! Derk and his wife were very attentive and warm hosts, who welcome us and explained all about the region. The house corresponds to the pictures: it is beautiful, comfortable and cozy, has all the needed appliances for a pleasant stay in the countryside. Bathroom and shower are really good quality, living room extremely comfortable with a nice woodfire and the TV is actually larger than you can tell from the pictures. The garden is the highlight of the house, with a stunning view and a relaxing outside area for meals. The villages in the region are nice, with little shops, restaurants and sight seeing. Great recommendation for relaxing vacations! We would definitely like to stay in the Gite again in the future :) (and we love Ramsi, the golden retriever). I spent 3 wonderful nights at Julie and Jim's superb 1 bedroom gite in Rioux Martin. I can't say enough good things about my experience. The inside of the gite was immaculately clean and very tastefully decorated. The outside space was equally nice and had all the necessary furniture to make outdoor dining pleasurable. This included both a front terrace for morning coffee and breakfast in the sun and a back terrace for evening cocktails and dinner. Lastly, Julie and Jim are so warm and gracious. They really seem to enjoy hosting guests from all over the world and they made my stay both comfortable and memorable. It was definitely one of the best Airbnb experiences I've had. Thank you Julie and Jim!

We had a fabulous stay at Michael’s place - it was superbly equipped with everything we needed, very comfortable and perfect for our family of 3. Jan and Michael were very friendly and helpful and provided a thoughtful welcome hamper and provided us with fresh fruit and vegetables from their garden during our stay. The pool area was well equipped and well looked after. Thank you for a lovely holiday!
