Stylish & sweet comfort cottage: piano & WiFi/ TV

DaniilRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We stayed in this cozy little house in Holwert over the holidays and had a great time. The house was clean, charming, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay with our two pets. We explored the area with trips to Lauwersmeer, Huisduinen, and De Alde Feanen, and also enjoyed taking short walks around Holwert itself. It was a lovely getaway during the quiet days between Christmas and New Year’s – thank you!

Chalet de Hooglander

We had a great time, the accommodation matches the photos and description, a very nice tiny house, well-equipped. No problem for our dog either, he was comfortable. We didn't know this part of the Netherlands, but we'll be back, that's for sure!

Group location Groot Baarda

LisanneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What a beautiful place to stay! The location is very quiet and special with views from every room, lots of light and a lovely garden. Marlies and her husband were welcoming and helpful. The decor was tasteful and cozy and even with many guests the house was spacious. In the kitchen there was plenty of crockery to cover nicely for a dinner in the house. Highlights were the ping pong table and (tuned) piano!

Idyllic cottage by the river

Anke Und ArnoRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We were there for an extended period of time. The location is fantastic, you can sit right by the water in sunshine and enjoy a coffee and watch the ships. The dog also felt comfortable and was able to run around freely. The back of the garden is fenced. The neighborhood is very nice and very helpful. Apart from a pizzeria and a grill snack bar, there is unfortunately no way to eat and drink somewhere in the evening, unless you drive 10 km further, but since we had a bicycle with us, (there are also two available there) that was no problem for us and you can find out in advance what you want to do in the area, or what is offered. As Simone has already described for 1.90 m tall people, like we are, it was a challenge upstairs, but we knew that before, because it was in the listing. All in all, a beautiful cottage, rustically furnished and in the kitchen everything is available and a very nice hostess.

At the Market | Unique home at the market in Dokkum

Stay for us was excellent. Kitchen not used but was equipped with everything incl. dishwasher. Bedroom was upstairs. Plenty of space and a large bed. Only the pillows were barely filled. But yes, we are also used to more luxurious pillows. Surroundings are great and restaurants are plentiful. We thought the best were grand café de Waegh in Grote Breedstraat 1 and hotel grandcafe Abdij if you like share dining. Breakfast was a bit difficult but the coffee pot was the best for us. Everything is within a very short walking distance Surroundings are Lauwersoog (seals), mudflat walks or day trip to Schiermonnikoog and for shopping Leeuwarden. Had fantastic days. Definitely worth repeating.

A hidden gem in Friesland

LisaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We booked this stay as a gift for my parents. The cottage is cozy, clean and fully furnished. Everything you need is present – from fine lighting to good blackout curtains and a lovely bed. The bathroom was fresh and comfortable, with a nice shower and plenty of towels. The garden is spacious and quiet, with a cozy seating area. Inside there are fun games, which is a nice alternative to a TV. The kitchen is compact, but practical with, among other things, an air fryer and stove. The only downside: there was no freezer compartment. The contact with Anita was excellent. She is very friendly, welcomes you warmly and had decorated the cottage extra nicely for the occasion. She also gave nice tips about the area. The location is quiet, yet close to Dokkum and Leeuwarden. Parking was also easy. All in all, a very successful stay.
