Het huisje is gunstig gelegen, op een steenworp van het natuurgebied De Broekbeemt, Borgloon, Hasselt en Sint-Truiden. Er is de ook mogelijkheid om elektrische mountainbike te huren.

De omgeving is een wandel en fietsparadijs tussen rijkelijke kastelen, boomgaarden , weilanden en mooie haspengouwse dorpjes.
