Our stay at The Dragonfly Villa was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were wrapped in a sense of calm and beauty that only a place like this can offer. The villa is simply breathtaking — elegantly designed with stunning details, lush surroundings, and peaceful spaces that made it a true escape. A standout highlight was the exceptional cuisine lovingly prepared by Nayana. Each dish she created was bursting with flavour — fresh, comforting, and unforgettable. Every mealtime became a moment we looked forward to. Equally wonderful was the gracious hospitality of Ushan, who was always there with a warm smile, ready to assist with anything we needed - reservations, recommendations, or simply answering our many questions with patience and kindness. His presence made everything smooth and enjoyable. The Dragonfly Villa exceeded all expectations. Every person we encountered went out of their way to make our family trip very special. I booked this Airbnb for my sister's trip, and she had a wonderful stay! The communication with Yashodara was excellent from start to finish, making the booking process very easy. My sister found the place to be exactly as described, very clean, and comfortable. She really enjoyed her time there and I'm so glad I chose this spot for her. Thank you to Shafeena, Sahal and the team at Buona Vista Heights for providing one of the best holiday experiences we’ve ever had. The property, staff, surroundings far exceeded our expectations. The food was exceptional - we ate out a couple of times but quickly realised that the best food was cooked by Sahal and his team at home. We experienced delicious Sri Lankan cuisine including chilli fresh crab. Communication was excellent from the moment i booked the property which was very re-assuring having never visited Sri Lanka. All our excursions were arranged through Sahal, including a day trip to Yala National park - this made it so easy for us to make the most of our time in Sri Lanka. The property is so peaceful and a sanctuary but only a short tuk tuk trip to the hustle of Unawatuna shops, bars, restaurants and beach. We were a group of friends travelling from Australia, Uk and Dubai and we have all agreed that we will return. Thanks again to all at Buona Vista

Fabulous location for a pit stop and views are amazing. The food was delicious, staff attentive and we stayed as a group and we all enjoyed it. Note bring mosquito repellent for the evenings if you wish to stay out:)

The atmosphere is calm, refreshing, and full of love. ‏Amir and Monika, the hosts, are simply amazing! They were in constant communication with us and responded quickly to anything we needed. Their kindness and hospitality made the experience even better. ‏Also, I have to mention—they have the best granola in the world! Seriously, don’t miss it. ‏Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to relax and reconnect with nature.

It was one of the most wonderful vacation trips. We had a vacation with my husband and two children aged 11 and 16. The owner of the Dharshana house is a magnificent man. He was always in touch and answered all questions. The house is located almost on the shore of the Indian Ocean in 1 min walk. All the amenities were available. All necessary household appliances are present in the house. Especially the washing machine helped us out, as children often dirty things and they could be quickly refreshed. Dharshana and his wife were very kind and welcoming. In addition, they organized a trip for my family to the elephant nursery and the nine-arch bridge, we visited the highest waterfall and got acquainted with monkeys. The children were delighted. Our family has become friends with Dharshana and his wife and we continue to communicate. We are glad that we have friends in Sri Lanka and we will definitely come back to them again.

Me and my wife like this place so much! The location is the best for house on the beach! The view is amazing, the rooms are clear and comfortable. Hot water and AC in every bedroom. Big living room and comfortable kitchen. Two minutes with Tuk tuk from the city center. And we appreciate the hospitality and help of our host Shashi, who was available at all times! Thank you and we meet again soon!

Great Stay for a Quiet Getaway! I had a pleasant stay at this Airbnb. The place was nice, clean, and well-maintained, offering a quiet and calm atmosphere—perfect for relaxation. While the location is a bit far from the beach and more on the inland side, it’s ideal for backpackers or those looking for a peaceful retreat. A nice bonus was the included breakfast, which was much appreciated. The host was friendly, supportive, and made sure everything was comfortable. Overall, it was a good experience, and I’d recommend it to travelers who don’t mind being a little further from the shore.
