The Elk Creek Cottage

Oh my, if you are in this area you should stay here. Even though it's close to the road it's QUIET. Gina has thought of everything. There was a lovely basket of treats, drinks in the fridge, and all the things you need to clean, cook, and bathe. The washer and dryer were a God send. The beds were comfortable. There is Wifi so we could use our phones. We were so rested we stayed an extra day. Manchester has stores for supplies. The porch swing is Devine. The place is also very dog friendly. Thank you Gina?

The Home Place Near Flat Lick Falls

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lauren's place. Originally being from the area, we knew the approximate location and were very happy with it. The views are very nice, the place is very peaceful and relaxing. The large covered porch on the back of the house is extremely comfortable and relaxing. The 2 bedrooms on the main floor were very comfortable. The house is plenty large enough for a family of 6. Everything was very clean and the kitchen seemed to have everything that we needed. Outside there is plenty of room to roam, a large playground and treehouse is available if you have small kids. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend Lauren's place. We hope to stay there again someday, with our grandkids :)

Nice, peaceful area with a short drive to climbing areas like the Motherlode. Small space that has been setup efficiently and is equipped with all of the essentials and nothing more. The hosts were communicative and helped us out quickly when there was something needed.

The place was great. Easy to find, easy to access, and the place was exactly as described and in the pictures. It's also right next to some great climbing, which was what we came for, so that was perfect.

Daniel Boone Getaway

We have been regulars here for a few months and love this home away from home! Gaynell is super friendly and always goes above and beyond to be as accommodating as possible. It was warm enough to be outside this time, and the kids loved running around the yard after our long trip! I can’t recommend their place enough, they are wonderful hosts and the house is extremely comfortable and welcoming 🙂

Perfect Home for Red River Gorge

DustinRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Halley is a great host! I booked very last minute and she was very accommodating. Halley was very communicative and quick to respond, which was very appreciated. There are food places 15-30 minute away depending on what you choose. We ate Friday dinner at 145 Roadhouse. Their filet was tender with great flavor! On Saturday we enjoyed a nice breakfast outside on the balcony of Halley's home. We had planned to walk Natural Bridge State Park on Saturday, but mother nature decided differently for us. So we went to a store about 5-10 minutes away and bought some games to play. We spent the rest of the afternoon with the windows open, listening to the rain. While playing games with the slight breeze that blew through the home. Saturday night we had dinner at Hop's. Hop's food is farm to table and they had live music. The artists playing were playing something alittle different from what we are used to, but it was very enjoyable. The spaghetti was amazing! Would most definitely stay again!
