Idyllic Storvik is a small village on the far side of the Nordland coast in the middle between Saltstraumen and Svartisen. The surroundings are sea, mountains, sandy beach and fishing waters. Here you can stay in the old village school that we in the family have transformed into a modern apartment. There are several marked hiking trails in the area. They range from very easy, to more advanced trips for real "mountain goats". If you prefer to relax on the beach and enjoy nature from a distance, it is perfectly possible from the 1.5 km long sandy beach.

The home is located in idyllic Storvik, directly by the 1.5 km long Storvik beach and only 50 m from the sea. The surroundings are sea, mountains, sandy beach and fishing waters. Here you can enjoy an active holiday with mountain trips, paddling, swimming or cycling. If you just want to relax, the large terrace is perfect for sunbathing and barbecuing or just relaxing with a good book. Here you have everything you need for a comfortable vacation. If the weather is bad, you have panoramic views of the natural elements from the inside.

Recharge your batteries at this unique, quiet and modern accommodation. Here you can experience the midnight sun in the summer, or the Northern Lights in the winter. Distance to city center about 7 minutes by car. There are many shops, cafes, restaurants and shopping centers. The house by the lake is located about 250 m from the bus stop. Distances: 7 km to Bodø city center, 25 km to Kjerringøy, 35 km to Saltstraumen, 5 km to golf course, 6 km to ferry terminal Lofoten, 6 km to train station. Not suitable for disabled people.

Large cabin with a lovely view, boat and sauna

We welcome outdoor enthusiasts to our beautiful cabin in Holmsundfjorden in Gildeskål, 1 hour drive south from Bodø. The cabin is idyllic and undisturbed all the way down to the sea. The cabin has a boathouse with a 14-foot boat with 10 HP outboard motor. The cabin also has a great, private sauna barrel right by the water, and an outdoor jacuzzi (this is new as of July 2025). Formidable hiking and fishing opportunities await you in Gildeskål, and we are happy to suggest top tours and smaller family trips for you.

There is a berth for the lake house and a charming quiet beach 100 meters from the front door. The harbor is beautifully located and well shielded by small islands overlooking Lofoten and Landegode. Bodø city is only 15 minutes from the harbor, with all its offers of restaurants, shopping and attractions. It is also a great starting point for other great day trips such as to Saltstraumen and Svartisen.

The cabin is located less than 10 minutes from Saltstraumen and about 30 minutes from Bodø. In Saltstraumen, there are opportunities to shop for groceries, fishing, etc. Here you have many nice hiking areas in the immediate vicinity, Valnesfossen is one of several nice places you can visit. Valnesvannet is only minutes away, here you will find good fishing spots, swimming areas and beaches. 🏡😊

A nice quiet quiet spacious cabin. In the sanitary room at the back of the house is the guest bathroom with shower and toilet. There is possibility to cook an easy meal, and more. Godøynes has everything for walks to the beach, in the woods, and to views. but a visit to Saltstraumen at 5 km. is also worthwhile, or a visit to the town of Bodø 15 km. The easiest way to get to us is by car, bicycle or on foot. Any public transport is at 500m. Welcome!

Yacuzzi can be rented for an extra fee on 600,- for a weekend or 800,- by the week.
