Here and there a splash of color that pleases the eye. »Hygge in northern German« describes it very well from our point of view:) Here the focus is clearly on peace and relaxation. The apartment (since mid-July 2020) is small, lovingly and specially furnished with clay-plastered walls, hand-painted bricks on the floor, favorite pictures and furniture. It borders the house that we live in as a family with children on an old three-sided farm. There are no direct neighbors, lots of nature and you can make beautiful excursions in all directions by bike or car: Baltic Sea, islands, Stralsund, Greifswald, Rostock, Mecklenburg Lake District, Peene, Tollense...

It feels like you are at the edge of the world here, a garden full of trees with a view of the Mecklenburg prairie. The apartment has its own entrance and garden area. 4 sheep and 5 cats inhabit the large garden. 2 e-bikes can be rented. Wood-burning stove sauna & hot pot are available for a fee. The village of Barlin is a very nice place to vacation with horses and a playground. Forest and lakes are close. We former Berliners live next door as a family.

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. The mobile home is located on a natural property in a village of 50 inhabitants on the edge of Mecklenburg Switzerland. The Baltic Sea is just under an hour away and in the immediate vicinity, various lakes invite you to swim as well as meadows and forests invite you to hike. In the village there is a small organic shop where you can buy fresh eggs, bread, rolls and everyday necessities.

Wabi Sabi Cottage I in the Old School and Sauna

This apartment is located in the former old school in the village and was probably originally built for the teacher in 1815. It contains one bedroom, another sleeping chamber under the roof (only bookable in summer), a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom with shower. The sleeping chamber under the roof can only be reached via a steep staircase. The chamber can be heated via an oven, but the roof is not perfectly insulated.

The "Kontor" is a spacious, stately apartment with marodem charm for 2 people that is located in the right wing, on the ground floor of the house. In 2011, I acquired the manor house in Kobrow from the point of view of reviving and maintaining a small piece of the cultural heritage of our country.
