Vacation rentals in Boca de Chajul

My whole family loved our stay here. It’s a quiet, basic rustic cabin on the riverbank with howler monkeys in the trees above and around. It is absolutely perfect for people who love nature. It is not five star, it is so much more. We were the only ones there, they had to clean a foot of mud off the cabin floor from the previous wet season, and the cabin was spotless. They did an amazing job getting it ready for us after being flooded a couple of months before. The only issue we had was, there was no one there when we arrived, and we had to go and find someone. It wasn’t a big deal, but with a family of five, including young children, it wasn’t the ideal start. But it turned into the perfect stay. They directed us to Las Guacamayas, the only restaurant in town, and we did a boat trip from there too. It was absolutely amazing. We weren’t sure about visiting this part of Mexico with the family, we are so glad we did. It was the highlight of our 6 weeks and completely safe. Do it!

I stayed for one night and since I booked this place Quirino sent me all the instructions on how to arrive, which made it pretty easy to reach. They all treat us really well and they made many recommendations about what to visit around. The stay at this place has left us with a good taste in our mouths. From the beginning, Quirino gave us all the information on how to get there, including schedules and prices, which I really appreciate. Once we arrived we had the pleasure of meeting Jehú and Oscar who made us feel very comfortable at all times and gave us a lot of information. This helped us to get to know more spaces around that community. I highly recommend staying here. Be careful, since you are already in a jungle area, internet access is somewhat limited and calls do not go through, but it is part of the experience to disconnect from the networks and connect with nature. Great place to stay! Located right beside the river. 15 minute walk to the waterfalls. Our favorite place was dining at the restaurant, tasty food and friendly people.

Very nice place, you hear the river go by during the night and it is relaxing, they also have various activities that you can do with them, unfortunately I couldn't do any because the day I stayed they had an event and there were no staff in the stay. Of course, they rent bicycles for a very good price and with that you can get around the area.

we had the opportunity to go to the three points of the sector, the breezes, green causes and the city of the rocks, the attention of the Quirino team is great, we are invited to return, friendly, knowledgeable, professionals in what they do.

It's a good place

Pleasant stay next to the river. Large and clean cabin. Attention, almost no fruit or vegetables for sale in the village, (plan your purchases beforehand). We have for the second time in the chiapas found the restaurant overpriced (especially when there are four of us with family). Waterfall 15 MINUTE walk away. Small quiet village, and friendly welcome from the locals...We did not do any activity offered by the host, again a high budget for a family .

I could not have picked a better place to stay in Barillas. Everyone was incredibly kind and gave me helpful recommendations and directions. The home itself was incredibly beautiful and exceptionally clean.
