“For anyone considering visiting central Portugal, you will find the best of Air BnB apartments and the best of Air BnB hosts in Rosa and Carlos at the Refugio da Vila in Vousela. We chose this accomodation because of its proximity to Viseu and because it would allow easy day trips to cities like Porto, Aveiro and Coimbra as well as Viseu. We had a very happy surprise in discovering Vousela to be a remakable town. For the three weekends we were there, there was a festival each weekend in May, each a wonderful celebration and we were encouraged to come again in June because it gets even better. Our hosts Rosa and Carlos were very generous with their time for us. We are very appreciative of their friendship and for their sharing of Portuguese cultural experiences . The suite was perfect for us, well cared for, a good bedroom, a good kitchen and eating area and a good view of the park where the festivals were focused. There are excellent coffee shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. Refugio da Ponte is across the lane, and Manjar No Pau, and Margarita's are just short walks away. This was the best of our 17 Air BnB experiences.”
Casa do lagar is a very cozy, restored space where once it was an old mill of the 19th century
“Our stay at Casa do Lagar was excellent. The house is very comfortable, well decorated and with details that make it very welcoming, without losing its rustic look. The outer space is very good. A well-kept flower garden; very nice barbecue space; and of course the pool that doesn't let you stay indoors. On top of all this, the friendliness and generosity as we were welcomed and treated during our stay made these days even more enjoyable. We will be back for sure!”
