Right smack dab in the middle of it all! Hiking, biking, climbing, fishing, birding, kayaking, snowshoeing, camping, wheeling, hunting, mountaineering.... and only 52 miles to Crater Lake National Park!
“Shannon is a great host. Her house is very clean and organized. We were able to locate the house without any problem in the dark. Ample parking. Very comfortable beds and complimentary coffee for the morning. Can't wait till next time. Merry Christmas!”
The Mayfly cabin is tucked away in Oregon's Winema National Forest. Spacious windows overlook Hawk's Lake, the ideal place to watch the sunrise, read a book, or visit over coffee free from distractions. A planet-friendly escape ran on solar power, without cell service, but a modest amount of Wifi. Unplug from technology and reconnect with nature at this authentic Oregon destination. Roughly an hour from Crater Lake, it's the perfect place to stay while exploring all the area has to offer.
“If you want to disconnect from this global world and want to have a fun time with ur family/friends this is the place you are looking for. Try reaching the place before sunset. It’s bit difficult to find the airbnb at night. Don’t miss the sunrise!! It’s pretty beautiful and if you are lucky enough you’ll spot some wildlife’s. I would highly recommend this place to the people who wants to spend time with persons rather than on their phones or laptops! The host is very friendly and very co-operative”
A hideaway in the woods.
“This is a nicely furnished home and very clean. Chris was very easy to work with and accommodated a late check-in. The location is remote but pretty easy to find, in a very quiet neighborhood. I enjoyed that they provided coffee and hot cocoa and soap and shampoo. It didn't apply to us, but there were thoughtful touches for kids like some Tonka trucks and swings. A small DVD collection came in handy. We couldn't get data on our phones and we have a carrier that usually works very well remotely (just a warning if that's important to you.) Overall, exactly what we were looking for - a rural retreat each night after sightseeing.”
