This is a cozy yet spacious cottage at the dead end of a short unpaved lane. Quiet and private, plenty of wildlife, it sits in the woods above the Greenbrier River and trail, which is excellent biking and hiking with many swimming holes to take a dip. We have a few neighbors but you won’t see or hear them. Only 15 minutes from Historic Lewisburg, one of WV's best tourist destinations which offers restaurants, bars, shops, antiques, and the arts. Also 13 miles from The Greenbrier Resort.

Hiking trails and streams within walking distance. 60 miles from snowshoe. 30 miles from White Sulphur Springs to the Greenbrier. Cell phone service. We had an excellent vacation staying at Mark's cabin! The views from the cabin's large windows are breath taking!!! The cabin is so clean, with all the amenities provided for a relaxing time. His cabin was well organized and comfortable. We enjoyed listening to the rain in the evening, while playing board games there. The flickering of lightening bugs in the night as they lit up the mountains was beautiful. Mark was excellent with communication. The driving directions he gave were easy to follow, along with check in and check out information. We HIGHLY recommend staying at his cabin: called "Against the Wind."

I can’t say enough about this cabin but let’s try! Perfect for a late anniversary get-a-way, the views, the cabin itself, the location with the greenbrier river right there, the cleanliness of the property all together, yard, porch, cabin inside and out, the path to the river, the decor, just everything! We brought our own wood, fire starter etc but they had everything we needed at the cabin! I could live there with no worries in the world. If you and someone else needs a perfect place to stay this is your place. We hope to get back there someday again. Thanks Rod and Susan for letting us stay at your cabin.

This is the first “glamping” Airbnb I’ve stayed at. Let me start by saying: I couldn’t have asked for more. Everything was absolutely spotless and while it’s “camping”? (Sort of) I am genuinely surprised by how clean everything was. I’m not sure what I expected but it was at least 4-5 star hotel level clean, even outdoors on the deck and the bathroom/shower area… I wasn’t necessarily looking for that but it’s surprising enough to mention. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat near New River Gorge then look no further.

Julie is an A+ host, super responsive, kind, cares about your experience. Loved our trip, White Sulphur Springs is a hidden gem for what I was hoping for. I would note that the twin size beds are not full-sized for adults (I'm 5'10" and my feet hung off the bed), but I slept A OK. Terrific house with artwork, clean, location walkable to the Main St. area.
