På kanten av eit jøl, skapt av elva sitt tusenårige strev for å nå fjorden, svevar hytta delvis i terrenget. Stabburet har strøm, men ikke innlagt vann eller toalett. Gjester kan bruke dusj og toalett i hovedhuset som ligger 30 m unna.
